King of Glory Ministries COGIC (Dayton, OH) Torace D. Weaver - Pastor Stolen property, Obtaining property under false pretenses, Deceit, Deception Day
14th of Nov, 2011 by User247460
This report is being filed against Torace D. Weaver and his wife, Shureka NaTisha Johnson-Weaver, pastor and evangelist of King of Glory Ministries COGIC located at 2231 Embury Park Road, Dayton, OH 45414. The aforementioned individuals took donated (and non-donated) property under false pretenses stating that it would be sold as merchandise in their church's thrift store. The property was picked up in Cincinnati and taken back to their place of residence in Dayton, Ohio on two separate days, October 29th and October 30, 2011. The non-donated items were recovered by a mutual friend as of Tuesday, November 1, 2011. However, between the dates of October 31st - November 5th, I contacted Mr. Weaver three times on his cell phone regarding an itemized receipt which he failed to provide me for the actual donated items that they obtained. Each time I received his voicemail. I left him messages via voicemail, text, church email address, and the social media site Facebook requesting for him to follow-up with me regarding this receipt which was to include a valid tax-identification number for KOG Thrift Store. To date, Mr. Weaver has never returned my calls, acknowledged my request, or responded to the other messages left for him regarding the itemized receipt. After contacting the Internal Revenue Service, I discovered that KOG Thrift Store, which according to Mr. Weaver and his wife is currently being operated out of their church, is not even legally established nor eligible to recieve tax-deductible donations or contributions. It was also revealed that some of the donated items were sold by Mr. Weaver and all proceeds kept for personal gain while the other items (including the ones that were clearly indicated as not donated) were retained at his and his wife's new place of residence located on S. Gettysburg Avenue in Dayton, OH for their own personal use. Property obtained includes: a couch & loveseat, a portable dishwasher, shelf and matching tv stand, a black lacquer tv stand, cherry wood vanity, Sony stereo boombox w/remote, a portable radiator heater, a mini vacuum cleaner, 4 pictures, 1 pair curtains, 2 false plants, 1 box of decorating items.
