Dish TV Third Party sales reps make promises, set up account, Dish doesn't deliver but charges your card. Internet, Nationwide |

Signed my daughter up for Dish over the phone. Sales rep said I needed to pay with my card as we speak to secure the deal he was offering. I explained that I did not want my card used for anyother transaction and was re-assured this was a one time use of my card (numerous times). I also confirmed with the rep, because she would be moving when a property became available, that there would be no transfer fees (since they advertise they move where you move), and we agreed on a monthly price with services that was affordable for just one TV to be hooked up and ended the call. Now 4 months later after numerous calls (where my notations and concerns are never documented/found) I am being told I owe $800+ dollars that they will be automatically taking out of my account. 1. The sales rep never credited my $82.00 taken from my bank to Dish, just $30 of it, which caused a $20+ dollar balance to transfer on to my first bill before we even got started. 2. They charged me for free services I was told I was getting. 3. since this was the first bill that arrived as the move was about to take place I called to hopefully clear up this misunderstanding and have my service transfered at the same time, only to find out I now need to pay an additional fee of $100 on top of the extra services I was being billed for. Now I just want to drop their service because they did nothing "they" promised to do. Before I hang up the phone for the third time I tell them I no longer wish to receive what lame service they provided. So here is where is gets better. I received another bill in the mail that has now doubled for services I do not receive. A week later I get boxes in the mail to return equipment that they obviously know I am not using but still get billed for. Next comes the best part when they send me notice in the mail telling me they are going to take $800+ dollars from my account on a specific date to settle my account. (I only received 6 weeks of airtime from this company.) When I called last night about the notice I was told they are not allowed to tell me where my first $80 went,... I have to call the retailer that set up my account....even though he was allowed to share MY bank card info. All the promises he made Dish does not honor but I am supposed to be the one in breech of a contract I never saw or signed......Beware of this company!!!!! It would be nice if someone just digged their account with an unexpected settlement so they see how it feels. I can not afford lawyers like this company can but I will do my best to make sure no one else makes the same mistake as me. |
