I have been calling Directv for over 2 months trying to return their equipment, but I haven't had any luck w/them. Back in October, I talked to rep Jamez he confirmed with me my address change and that I would receive their shipping kit to return their property, but no labels. I talked to Jennifer, she confirmed that I would rec'd this kit but nothing. I asked her why is my account w/directv is in collections and she said b/c of none payment of $90.32 and I said when I rec'd the kit I will pay the
remaining balance of $90.32. She even suggested that it were okay to do it that way. We both agreed and I have waited for weeks and nothing received. On Nov 3, 2011, I rec'd a past due bill stating they will charge my debit card that I have on filed w/them in 15 days for the total cost of their equipment $293.37. I immediately called them and I talk to rep Krystal to give me their address to shipped the equipment at my expense. Also, I req'd for her to not charge my debit card in fear of
bouncing outstanding charges w/other merchants. She said in 15 days from date on the past due bill they mailed to me that my account will be charge and nothing she could do to stop it. I demanded to speak w/her supervisor but we both got into a shouting match b/c I am very angry over the way they handle their clients. Brittany stated to me the reason they haven't mailed the shipping kit b/c I owed them the $90.32 in which I just paid today before contacting BBB.com. I asked Brittany why I wasn't told this in the beginning she didn't have a answer for me, so I said all this time directv lied about sending the lables. Now!!! I am concerned about directv trying to charge me for their equipment that I have been waiting for over 2 months for labels for they are the reason my account with them is in their collections. I had to contact my bank and pay $31 stop payment fee to hopefully prevent directv for charging my checking account. I am OUTRAGED over all of this b/c I contacted them so many times to no availed and they didn't tell me kit was never mailed to me. I was told I would have the labels & payment will be made to them. What is so discomforting is the way Brittany were laughing that she didn't care what her reps had told me previous and today. If they had told me in up front that I should make my payment and avoided all this hassle they have put me through, I would have had this resolved long before now. I cannot understand how Directv is allowed to treat consumers. I had been a client of their for numerous of years, but I will NEVER used their service again.
