DIRECTV ripoff Unauthorized bank transactions Also a victim? Resond to this report... there are many of us! It NEEDS to be stopped I called customer service and I got: lies, rudeness, and unwillingness to help of the customer rep departmet of this unethically run "DIRECTV". I've never dealt with such degrading, rude, and unwilling to help people. How can they condone such wrongful actions of their employees! Here in the U S of A I was always under the impression that our motto in business is the customers always right. OK here is the gist I awoke today to check my account and saw a large amount taken out, that over drafted my account and has since now caused re occurring fees that will not stop until this is fixed and reversed. The Lady at Direct TV told me "Well you gave your card, and basically that there was absolutely nothing that I could do to reverse this, even when I was very persistent that it was not authorized and was straight FRAUD" I was appaloosa (could not believe what had just happened) and could not believe I was spoken to like that and there was NOTHING they could or WOULD do. I am very aware that they are wrong, but with looking into this and seeing the numerous amount of people that are in the exact situation, sooner or later this complaint action and those of others has to do something to correct this with Direct TV and stop them. I have since canceled their service and have the items all boxed and ready to go...... when my DIRECTV bills were due I paid as I always have-online with debit card. I had a little left to pay and I paid the minimum allowed to me by customer rep when I called to make arrangements and even then I was told they would not be taking any money out other than what I authorized that ONE TIME. They had not before this last time taken out money without my authorization in a while and just today randomly took out 250.00 as if it was allowed, authorized and a regular thing. (this not counting the overdraft bank charges) I do my banking online so come Monday morning (Not making a payment since my prior authorized one last month) I checked my bank account which I do daily and my payment of $250.00 was taken out without an authorization number transaction using my debit card info out for $250.00 to DIRECTV with no authorization code. PLUS the nice added 25.00. I called my bank right away, but they were closed so I left a message and sent an email to block any transactions from Diret TV, . So now (with the help of my daughters legal knowledge, confirming that it was unlawful and fraudulent) I call the Super friendly, sweet and WONDERFUL people at1-800-347-3288 of DIRECTV, listed as a number on my bank statement! They tell me POINT BLANK, oh well, my problem and nothing they could or would do. OK just wonderful now I will be getting overdrafts now im incurring $25 a day for someones "customer service" - more like -> "lack there of" mess up. So you too might get what I got and all I got was a rep who sounds like a machine (repeated herself) that I can not understand hardly at all. Don't answer my questions, over and over I state I was not ok with it, until I lost my patience with her and I told her I knew better and hung up . As stated on the post I attached this complaint to: And for all you who are employed there and rebuttal these complaints-can't you see a trend here? I'm almost at the point of believing these identity thefts are being done right out of the finance dep't of DIRECTV! How easy it would be!Access to all these bank numbers and capable of hiding payments where they want them. ~ Amen to that Direct TV NEEDS 2 BE investigated before they get even more out of control with other peoples money and the the tend continues with other companies and our bank accounts are dry without our knowledge consent or approval. HELLO People this is WRONG. now im off to the Better Business Bureau and any other complaint companies I can find. |
