I am in need of someones help I purchased a king Henredon bed from Dillards in Mall of the Louisiana Baton Rouge Louisiana for my son. I paid for their delivery service. The delivery guys were young maybe early 20's. They came into my home and carried the furniture upstairs to my sons room and was to my knowledge assemble the bed however they apparently screwed the bolts too tight and broke the frame and side rails and attempted to hide it from me by duck taping it and placing the matress over it.without telling me.
My son came home after a trip to his grandfathers and was so excited. He laid in the bed and it collapsed.I was livid we lifted it and seen the duck tape and I contacted the store manager Donna she said she would investigate and get back with me. I unfortunately had to keep calling her,she never has done anything but give me the run around put me off for months and finallyhad a furniture company come out attempt to fix it twice with no luck. Then I contacted the general manager Mark Gasman he was a real jerk he tried to say it was due to customer use and abuse and pass blame on my children I told him that was incorrect and that if a good quality bed Henredon could fall apart so easily than it shouldn't be retailed $12,000.
He has refused to allow me to get another bed or reimburse me 1/2 the amount I paid my son can't utilize the bed. I attempted to call his regional manager Burt Squires but his secretary Trish Rodger will not allow me to talk to him so it gets forwarded back to Mark Gasman. I would love to contact Alex Dillard and give him the whole truth that their lacking to tell him but he to wan't accept my call. His secretary Barbara Walston said for me to tell her and she would inform him and says he'll reroute it back to the general manager so she apparently dosen't have faith in her own boss in doing the just thing by his customers.
I am very disappointed that I have been so loyal to them as a customer and that they can discredit me and not treat me fair when it is their fault. The real Mr. Dillard died and his sons took over and have slaughtered all that man worked for in having integrity and loyalty etc. I'm willing to take them to court are whatever needs to happen to bring the truth to light! My son has never utilized the bed and has to sleep in his sisters bed and she sleeps with me. He has to go upstairs to get dressed but sleeps downstairs which is very aggravating for him. Please help me make them reimburse me or get another bed frame or return it I'm done with playing the mose in their trap! |
