Digital Innovations owner Donnie Hough contractor for Directv CON ARTIST Jacksonville, Florida
30th of Apr, 2011 by User891213
Attention all satellite installers and consumers of satellite services Donald Hough of Digital Innovations Inc. Is a con artist. Consumers if your installer appears at your door with a contract that has Digital Innovations on the letter head Do Not sign anything, kindly send the installer away and call your retailer.
Call 1-800 Directv and they will send out there prefferd installation company to install your system. Now let me explain why Mr. Donald Hough is a con artist. My boyfriend began subcontracting with Digital Innovations , Donald Hough on or around February 7, 2011. My boyfriend signed a contract that stated he would be paid in four to six weeks at the rate of sixty dollars for the first box and eight for each additional with all custom money coming to him the installer. My boyfriend and I had to supply all cable, fittings, zip ties, cement, pole mounts and much more very expensive supplies. I took the last 500.00$ of my income tax money to help my boyfriend start this venture. It looked to be a very promising job, something we would soon realize would not be true. It was a nightmare from day one! Daily my boyfriend checked on his jobs that were his on the digitalinnovationsinc.net website most all of his jobs were in a city 90 miles one way away 180 miles round trip. And that is not counting the miles in between the jobs! All of this being done in our personal vehicle. Brian went on doing his jobs and things were getting tight, you see that five hundred dollars was all that we had . We kept telling ourselves that he said it would be four to six weeks to be paid, well four weeks comes and goes and we see nothing , so we thought no big deal, yes we may have to borrow but we will pay it back when six weeks hits and my boyfriend gets paid. Six weeks came and went and we saw nothing! Weeks 7,8,9,10,11 pass and we have still yet to see anything! No longer able to borrow from my retired parents and his mom and stepfather all for the sake of my boyfriend to be able to go to work , my boyfriend called Mr. Donald Hough and said look you havent paid me and I can not afford to go to the jobs I dont have gas and are low on supplys . He said man I havent been paid by the retailer yet so I cant pay you but I can give you some gas money, give me your bank account info and I will deposit some gas money in it. And true enough he did deposit gas money in the account, but this senario would carry out many more times and still no paycheck. All in all he deposited 900.00 in my account since my boyfriend does not have one. All together my boyfriend should have made 2448.00 Minus the website fee of 20.00 a month and Insurance 10.00 a Job and the 900.00 already sent Mr. Hough owes my boyfriend 1148.00. But this is not the kicker! My boyfriend gets a call from Mr. Hough one day and purports that the retailer they have been working for has fired the company. He tells my boyfriend to go to the warehouse stocked full of equipment and take it to move it from one warehouse to another so that he could get paid. We took the equipment from one warehouse (really a storage facility) to another and my boyfriend had to sign a contract for the new storage facility, which Donald did pay for, but was told that he needed to come sign the contract himself. He paid for the last few days in March and all of April. During April I had finally convinced my boyfriend that Donald Hough was never going to pay him ... and that he needed to quit and find a new job. My boyfriend finally quit and called Mr. Hough and told him he need to come and get that storage facility out of his name, needless to say Mr. Hough never showed up , he was given plenty of notice and two weeks to get the storage in his name or collect his inventory . When the owner of the storage facility called and said I have faxed this contract muptilple times and he has yet to sign it, you need to come clear out the facility or you will be charged , if you dont pay your name will go in the paper and equipment sold at auction . We felt that we had no choice but to clear out the storage facility . We haven't seen a paycheck yet , how stupid would we be to believe that he would pay the bill for storage that was in my boyfriends name! So now we are stuck with equipment taking up room in our shed and no money to boot, and he wants to proclaim that we stole his equipment, telling us that we have commited theft by conversion, well the way I see it he has commited theft of services and I will go to ends of the earth until my boyfriend recieves money that his due to him. Point blank do not do business with this creep!
