Digestinol defrauding the public with false advertising and product misrepresentation for Years. Everyone who has ever purchased “Digestinol†may be entitled to a full refund, plus damages. Digestinol / (Owner: LELAND B. GRANT) Digestinol has apparently been getting away with Consumer Fraud, Misrepresentation, and False Advertising for years. Under An Independent Laboratory Analysis from one of the most respected scientist in the Aloe analytical field, the actual polysaccharide content of Digestinol capsules is shown to be a fraction of what Digestinol is, and has been repeatedly claiming their capsules contain, for years. My name is Mathew Devonshire. At my own expense, I have contracted an independent laboratory analysis test on LELAND B. GRANT’S Digestinol. The test results clearly show, that LELAND B. GRANT and his company is misrepresenting the contents within their capsules and thus, perpetrating Consumer Fraud on the suffering public. Digestinol has been in operation for approximately 7 years now. I encourage anyone reading this site, to contract any reputable independent lab to perform the same type analysis for their own review. I would also recommend, that anyone who has ever purchased product from Digestinol (from its inception), should demand a refund and/or contact an attorney if feel you have experienced damages, including but not limited to; damages due to lost time, in relationship to the misrepresentation of their product content. Google Search: Your State, Attorney, Lawyer, Personal Injury Independent Laboratory Analysis on Digestinol. The analysis was preformed by Charles Metcalfe, Founder and Chief Science Officer of Custom Analytics, LLC. Mr. Metcalfe is an active member of the International Aloe Science Counsel and considered the most knowledgeable scientist in his field. He performs analyses for the pharmaceutical, personal care, and nutraceutical industries. He brings an interest and enthusiasm in improving upon the methodology used for characterization and standardization protocols for aloe raw materials and products. Method: The method used is Size-Exclusion Chromatography. (Size-Exclusion Chromatography determines both polysaccharides present, and their “molecular weights†or chain-lengths.) Non-Relationship: Mr. Metcalfe is an independent third party & scientist, contracted to perform his profession, a scientific product analysis. Mr. Metcalfe has no personal relationship, knowledge, or affiliation with this investigation. Summation of Results: 1. The Actual Percentage of polysaccharide content found in Digestinol = 2.56% x 375mg = 9.6 mg Actual polysaccharide content per capsule. Digestinol CLAIMS: “375mg Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide per capsule.†The lab results clearly indicate this claim is Fraudulent. 2. The Percentage of stabilized long-chain polysaccharides exhibiting 1,000,000 Dalton or greater in Digestinol = 0.00. Long-chain polysaccharides are non-existent in this product. Conclusions: Under Independent Laboratory Analysis, the actual contents of Digestinol capsules contain less than 3% of the polysaccharide content claimed by the seller, and the long-chain polysaccharides Do Not Exist in the product. In light of these findings, in comparison to the misleading verbal methodology used within Digestinol’s promotional website literature outlined below, I conclude that Mr. LELAND B. GRANT and his company Digestinol is committing Premeditated Consumer Fraud with Purposeful Intent. The question therefore becomes; How Long has the suffering public been deceived by Digestinol, and how many persons affected? My name is Mathew D. In my search for a natural solution for my mother’s condition, I discovered several companies marketing products which claimed to be of great assistance for many digestive and autoimmune diseases. After reading and comparing several websites, I suspected this company, Digestinol, of fraud, misrepresentation, and false advertising. I have a background in chemistry and biology, thus much of the unprofessional promotional material I was reading on the Digestinol website had a distinct ring of fakery and non-scientific claims. A person, such as myself searching for a solution for disease reads and understands the independent science behind the polysaccharide fraction of Aloe, and desires to gain the benefits. The injury may occur from the lost time a suffering consumer experiences while taking a charlatans mixture, thinking he or she is obtaining the advertised concentration, and on the right healing track, while potentially missing out on or rejecting other treatments which could alleviate suffering, and/or save life and limb. Google Search: Your State, Attorney, Lawyer, Personal Injury The following additional quotes are, in light of the lab report, quite obviously Fraudulent statements which have been cut and pasted verbatim from the Digestinol website. Should the Digestinol website change, I have records, electronic and printed, of these facts. I also suggest that you retain records of the Digestinol website so that any attempts, for a future company denial of these facts, may be defeated. From their Website: Digestinol states: “Each bottle of Digestinol contains 270 (500mg.) capsules. Each Formula (Type L & Type S) both contain 375mgs of AMP and 125mgs of the absorption agent (Soy Lecithin or L-Glutamine).†The lab results clearly indicate this claim is Fraudulent. From their Website: Digestinol states: “Digestinal is not "Aloe Vera" as Aloe is commonly understood. It is the STABILIZED healing agent, which has been extracted from the Aloe Plant. It takes the healing agent from approximately Eight gallons of fresh Aloe Vera gel to yield just one ounce of Digestinal. (1000 to 1 potency.)†The lab results clearly indicate this claim is Fraudulent. The Math: They are placing 375mg in each capsule, of what the lab report reveals to be a standard processed aloe powder. They have 270 capsules in the bottle. 375mg x 270 = 90,180mg = 3.18 ounces. Thus they are attempting to convince us that they use 25.44 Gallons of Aloe vera gel to produce one bottle of her product, which has been shown to contain less than 3% polysaccharide. (3.18 ounces x “8 Gallonsâ€) The misrepresentations and nonsense continues: From their Website: Digestinol states: “One reason why Digestinol is so often imitated but never really duplicated is that Digestinol uses a very precise process to extract the Aloe Muci-lag-inous Poly-sacc-ha-ride (AMP) molecule from the Aloe Vera plant and we ensure that these very important molecules remain stabilized. We use only the highest concentrated blend of the stabilized aloe mucilaginous polysaccharide molecule (approximately 8 gallons of certified farm fresh pure Aloe Vera gel that produces about one ounce of pure Digestinol, a 1,000 to 1 concentrate)†From their Website: Digestinol states: “AMP molecules have a very positive effect on your body which is why our Digestinol capsules have such a large concentration of them.†The lab results clearly indicate these claims are Fraudulent. From their Website: Digestinol states: “Digestinol Research is engaged in the refinement and isolation of a specific chain length series of a highly concentrated, stabilized Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides (AMP) which have demonstrated astounding benefits in the area of digestive disorders. The most important aspect during the process of extracting the AMP molecules from the aloe plant, is keeping them Stabilized. Our process of extraction (unlike others) keeps the AMP molecules stabilized and undisturbed so that their healing powers are maximized for you.†Remember: Under Independent Laboratory Analysis, the actual contents of Digestinol capsules contain less than 3% of the polysaccharide content claimed by the seller, and the long-chain polysaccharides Do Not Exist in the product. In light of the Lab test, Digestinol “Research†would appear to be “engaged†in Premeditated Consumer Fraud, Misrepresentation, and False Advertising upon the suffering. … but wait……“they Care!†From their Website: Digestinol states: “We care and it does make a difference.†They persist: From their Website: Digestinol states: “Our foundation's focus has remained steadfast to provide our customers with the best all-natural products which will provide the quality and effectiveness that they expect, deserve, and need.†From their Website: Digestinol states: “Digestinol Worldwide is a health research foundation, that among other things, is engaged in the refinement and isolation of a specific chain length series of highly concentrated and stabilized aloe "Poly-sacc-ha-rides" The lab results clearly indicate these claims are Fraudulent. Now we learn that, Digestinol, “The Worldwide Health Research Foundation,†is manufacturing in someone else’s building: From their Website: Digestinol states: “Digestinol is manufactured by a highly reputable modern facility that has been licensed to use our extra strength formula for over 10 years. Ongoing research and development has led us to the amazing powder that is primarily responsible for the activation of macrophage cells which are known to enhance the immune system. “ From their Website: Digestinol states: “Digestinol has the AMP molecules encapsulated with two different absorption assisting powders.†The lab results clearly indicate this claim is Fraudulent. Now they compare their standard processed Aloe powder to fine wine: From their Website: Digestinol states: “The Digestinol manufacturing process can be associated with the wine making process. The world's best wine makers use only the best and most mature grapes to produce the worlds best wines. Digestinol uses only the purest and most mature aloe plants to create the world's best AMP.†The lab results clearly indicate this claim is Fraudulent. From their Website: Digestinol states: “Doctor Formulated & Doctor Recommended.†Comment: Haven help “the Doctorâ€, if one exists, who has unwittingly associated his reputation with the likes of these fraudulent individuals. From their Website: Digestinol states: “During our quest to become and remain the best in the industry, we have had other companies come in and attempt to "dethrone" us, but they lack the most important thing, a proven formula like ours. You can't just use any grade of Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides (AMP), if you want the best results you need to use the best AMP. We do use only the highest quality of AMP, which is why we continue to be the best.†The lab results clearly indicate these claims are Fraudulent. Here are a few questions you may wish to ask LELAND B. GRANT and the folks at “The Digestinol Worldwide Health Research Foundation.†(hopefully they are not too busy, engaged with “worldwide health research issues.â€) 1. Why are you people selling 375mg of standard aloe vera powder in a capsule, and telling the suffering public that it contains 375mg of Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharides? (AMP)??? 2. How many years have you been perpetrating this campaign of False Advertising, Deceit, and Misrepresentation upon the public? 3. Do you know the difference between the polysaccharide portion of Aloe, and the remaining components? Do you care? 4. Do you believe the public deserves to know what is truly in your capsules? 5. Why do you claim your product contains the highest concentration of Aloe polysaccharides, and that those polysaccharides were “extracted†from the Aloe vera plant, and how can you claim they are stabilized long-chain structures? 6. Do you have any knowledge of science, or the process that you are claiming to orchestrate? 7. Do you think we consumers are stupid? Do you think no one is watching and you will not be caught and prosecuted? 8. How can “The healing AMP (Aloe Mucilaginous Polysaccharide) molecules in Digestinol perform all the benefits in the body you list from the research, when you hardly put any in the capsule, while telling us it is loaded with 375mg of AMP??? 9. Are you aware of the penalties for Consumer Fraud and the accumulation of funds through fraudulent advertising related activities? 10. How many Millions have you accumulated over the years from suffering people using methods of Consumer Fraud, Misrepresentation, False Advertising and Deceit?
