Are you sick of Diamond Resorts? Please visit us as and Diamond Resorts is holding us financial prisoners with no way of escape. They have silently taken our resort from the rightful owners, stripped us of any rights/power. The list goes on: They have taken control of our boards and the boards of many other properties. We have two DRI employees & a relative of one of DRIâ€™s VPâ€™s on the AOAO and VOA board of directors, giving DRI the majority interest and control of the board. Cleana Dean, mother of Linda Riddle (a Vice-President with DRI) was elected to the Board of Directors without disclosure regarding her relationship with to DRI. Our maintenance fees are skyrocketing while Diamond Resorts is collecting a total of $3,265,745 for management and corporate administration fees. This does not include the $612,732 budgeted for administration fees. Now we are being handed a special assessment for water intrusion fee of nearly $6,000 per deeded week for the deeded owners and an unknown amount for the Points people in the DRI Hawaiian Collection. This is an economic hit of at least $65 million dollars for the deeded and Hawaiian Collection (points/Club/Trust) owners. Requests for the owners list with current names and addresses of all owners so they may be contacted was denied by the AOAO and the VOA which had DRI employees on the boards and voted not to give out the list in violation of the AOAO bylaws and Hawaii law.
