Diamond Resorts International Took offer our holiday club, doubled maintenance fees, made it almost impossible to book space etc etc Las Vegas, Nevad |

Diamond Resorts took over our holiday club, dramatically increased maintenance fees by several times the rate of inflation, reduced the availability of bookings to almost zero and changed the rules to tie people in (no exit unless you die or become bankrupt). This followed by daily phone calls from them of their firm of debt collectors to harass people for the money. This causes great distress. Some appalling stories of hardship. I personally am aware of 1151 people that are being oppressed by this company. They can be found at the following website: http://drip.webs.com We have asked the "Chief Experience Officer", Patrick Duffy, to explain what they are spending the maintenance fees on. To date we have had no answer. We have spoken to him on various other complaints boards including "Can you trust them?" Patrick Duffy always tries to take the discussion off line, asking complainees to call him personally. But he never answers the question. (He does however spend tens of thousands of dollars on artistic glass squares according to the Las Vegas Sun, his boss, Mr Cloobeck, travels in his personal Lear Jet) More recently we have seen that you can book Diamond properties in Tenerife as non members. You pay about one third on the current members maintenance rate... and you get a complementary food hamper. Again we have asked what is going on. Again there is no answer... just Mr Duffy's typical response which is to suggest that we call him privately. Come on My Duffy, perhaps you can answer our questions in this forum instead. Or are you going to suggest that we take the issue off line again? I believe that Diamond have effectively done me out of about $15,000 through a creative interpretation of the original contract. If the same is true for all of the 1151 other people that I know, then Diamond Resorts have made at least $15 Million through immoral means. I know that there are a lot more people out there in addition to the 1151 who are siffering from these people. Many are pensioners with no access to the Internet, so the absolute total is bound to be much, much higher. If you are also suffering from Diamond Resorts, get in touch with the self help group: http://drip.webs.com Here you will find lots of other people in the same boat as you are. We help each other to deal with the stress and worry caused by Diamond and their associates. Get in touch and we will try and help you. Everything you say is true about these parasites. Just to update, - because of the number of people that are disatisfied with the DRI scam the website that you quote has been overloaded with protesters and a bigger site has had to be created. The new web site is http://drip.enjin.com, much support can be found on this site.
The latest story is about a lady who lost her husband a couple of years ago and since then has paid DRI its exhorbitent maintenance fees, but can no longer afford to pay as her savings have dwindled. She told DRI of her circumstances but DRI failed to tell her that she could terminate her membership and not pay further maintenance fees. Also there has not been an offer from DRI to back pay her fees.
What shysters are we dealing with here ??
Please, don't but in to this unethical outfit. |
