Design Plus Eric Davidson, HR Manager Bounced checks and no support! Internet |

I have been unemployed and looking for a means of creating any form of income possible. Design Plus, Enterprises, LLC found me via one of the job search websites that I had signed up with and they sent me an e-mail asking if I was interested in performing the duties of a Financial Manager for their interior design company based out of Russia. The message from them stated that they needed an address in the United States to have payments for their interior design services mailed. My responsibility as the Financial Manager would be to accept these check payments from their customers throughout the United States, cash them in my bank, and then send 95% of the funds to their respective sales managers in Russia. I would keep the remaining 5% as my payment for the work I was doing for their company. I processed five different checks for them and three were eventually returned as NSF by my bank. I was under the mistaken understanding that my bank's approval of the checks meant they confirmed funds were available in the respective bank accounts so I withdrew the money immediately and sent the 95% back to the company in Russia via Western Union. Unfortunately, I found out after cashing three insufficient fund checks that the whole verification process takes up to about five business days. My personal bank account was closed due to insufficient funds totaling over $6,500.00 and when I approached the HR Manager at Design Plus about the repayment of my negative funds caused by their customers, he promised that I would be reimbursed for all losses since they found that some of the customers that had written checks to me were "fraudsters" (his description). To this day, three months later, I have not seen one small amount whatsoever of financial assistance from them even though I have sent numerous e-mails asking them to live up to their promise. |
