Delmarva Capital Rude and not Willing to send proof of debt forest Hill, Maryland |
4th of Apr, 2011 by User431549 |
Been getting multiple calls from number 443-725-0321. Telling me to call them or have my laywer call them. I finally called back to see what they wanted. Said they were Delmarva Capital trying to collect a debt owed to US Bank. First let me tell you they were very unprofessional. Answered the phone with just Hello. No name given until I asked. Then Asked me what phone I was calling from, if it was a secured line, my address. I refused to answer any of the questions. Especially since they have caller ID and knew my name before I told them. Anyway I proceeded to tell them that they would get no info from me until they sent me Proof of my debt. The guy outright refused my request. Told me he didn't need to send me anything. That they sent One letter already, and that is all they were gonna send. He stated that I have no options except to pay my debt. Repeatedly I kept asking for them to send me Proof of debt. He began getting very rude with me. Said he was giving me an ultimatum. Either I voluntarily pay or else. He was very rude and unprofessional. His response was that I called him. I just about lost my cool at this time. He told me I can go on the website to look up my debt. Funny though, because when I went there there is no record of me. All I can say is DO not give these people any money without a letter of Proof of debt first! |

Same here. I called them back today (after daily harassing calls) and they wanted to confirm the last 4 digits of my ss #. I told them I owe US Bank nothing and I will not confirm any information nor give them any information. We have received nothing in the mail and until then we are not paying them anything. I even called US Bank and they confirmed that we owe them nothing. In fact, our account with US Bank has been closed since 2005. US Bank said they don't know of Delmarva Capital and that they do their own collections.
I bet they are running this company right out of someone's living room. The phone number I have for them is 877-890-8511. This is not the last they will hear of me. It's only the beginning. I want them to stop harassing people and I'm afraid that people that don't owe anything are sending them money. Bad Bad Delmarva.

I have been getting harassed non stop by them as well. They even started to call my grand parents every day. They truly convinced me though that I had unpaid debts with U.S Bank even though I thought I had paid them all off. So I went ahead and did a payment plan with them. They said I owed a little over 400 dollars, so I did 200 for two months. This is where I get confused because they wouldn't let me pay in any other besides me giving them my debit card number over the phone. I told them I would like to just send a check to them, but they wouldn't allow it.
Anyways, like a moron, I give them my card number and pay the first month. At the end of the month, I get a call saying that someone tried to use my debit card at some hotel several states away form where I live. Luckily, the people told me, that they did a cheap price because they were most likely trying to see if they could use my card. So with them, I had to cancel my card and get a new one.
Since that happened, I haven't made the 2nd payment. It was being taken directly out of my bank, but with the new card, they can't get in there. Now the harassment has started again. They keep telling me that I breached my contract and will be charged in court. They call me about 2-4 times a day now.
I am lost on what to do. I never give my card number out so I don't know how someone would have gotten my number unless Del Marva is just a scam. Also, if it were a scam, I would have thought that they stop harassing me by now and moved on to someone else. For all I know, they could be legit, and I could have a payment. |
