Daniel Dumas DanielsDesigns Taking deposits without doing any work. Stealing work from other sites and claiming its his own General Trias, Internet |

We hired Daniel Dumas to build our web site. We paid our deposit and were told we would receive design work in 2 weeks. We should have contacted at least 1 reference, but moved forward based on the work in his portfolio. After 2 weeks we received no response from Daniel. Our attempts to reach him by email and phone ended with no response after 3 months we have not heard from Daniel since and had to start the project over with another company. We contacted some of the customers directly in his portfolio and learned that most of the work he exhibits is stolen from other people's sites. We are hoping this post saves other people from this scam. |

Hi,
Yes, we've experienced this recently with DANIEL DUMAS. We even gave him the WHOLE PAYMENT ALREADY by giving him Post Dated Cheques up to the final day of the project. We even pay him for the 2-month assurance that he will debug our project which is additional incentive for him. In other words, we paid everything before we start the development.
After the contract signing, we've waited for 2 weeks for the initial design of our freelance project. Then we agreed to communicate everyday for updates. We've called him, texted him, emailed him, at-least twice a day (text, email and call). But he never response on those two weeks. After two weeks, he replied with a message that he cannot do the project because it was unfair for him on the agreed payment we've proposed.
On the first place, why did he signed the contract? Second, he agreed on everything we've discussed. Third, why did he waster our one-month time and will tell on the end that he cannot do the project. He never return our cheque and based on our research as well, most of his works in his website http://danieldumas.com or www.danieldumas.com that he exhibits are stolen from other people's sites.
We hope this post can help to prevent Daniel Dumas to scam more people in the world of freelance programming especially abroad because he says that he has clients abroad. Thank you very much! |
