I had this company...Dallas refinishing come out to my home to refinish my bathtub. The only person in this company (Ray) came out and did the work on my tub. On his website he offers a warranty on his work promising to come back out and fix any problems that may occur. The odor in the house was outragious...even after he assured me before leaving that the odor would be gone within the hour. The odor was terrible in our whole house for at least two days. The tub started to peel and I called him to let him know. He came out immediately and "fixed" the problem. He told me that the company that sent him the mixture was at fault and it had nothing to do with his workmanship. The smell wasn't bad this time around so I hoped that the tub would be fine this time. Once again the tub peeled and I called Ray again to let him know. I left him a message letting him know that the tub had peeled again. He didn't call me back for over a week. I called again and left another message...No reply from Ray again for another week. So now I am getting upset and I told him in a message that I was going to contact the better business bureau and all of a sudden I get a text to landline message from ray saying that his wife is in the hospital and he can't return my calls. I got someone else to call from a different phone number and leave a message inquiring about getting some work done. They got a text right back from Ray saying he was available to come and do the work. Hmmmmm. I have contacted the BBB and the FTC and I have no desire to let this slide. People that give out a warranty on their work should be held responsible for shotty work. I am so tired of being taken advantage of by companies that think that they can get away with it. Let's face it...how many people would take this to the limit and do something about it? Most just realized they got burned and do nothing. Well not me. I have no intention of letting this man away with my hard earned money. Please be careful...Just because they say they have a warranty on their work...doesn't mean it will be easy to get them to honor that warranty.
