On May 26th, 2011, I purchased PC Maintenance as well as an anti-virus, anti-malware, and an anti-spyware software from CyberDefender for $179.96 which is based out in Los Angeles, California. Before May 26th, I purchased Registry Cleaner for $39.98 from CyberDefender on March 16th, 2011, and an online backup for $9.99 per month on May 16th, 2011. Since these purchases (off and on) I've had problems with my computer; especially since the May 26th purchase. I had a different anti-virus, anti-spyware, and anti-malware initially, but I decided to change the software. On Saturday morning, June 4th, 2011, I began to have problems with my PC operating slow, my Ram Memory, pop-up boxes to install Java, and not being able to get on other websites from my Yahoo Home page. I phoned CyberDefender to fix these problems. For this entire weekend, my computer was inoperable. I could not use it at all. From approximately 9:00 a.m., Saturday, June 4th to Sunday evening, June 5th, around 7:00 p.m., my PC was transferred from one CyberDefender technician to the next to be fixed, but no technician could fix the problem. The last technician somehow deleted my WindowsXP Home Edition and asked if I still had the WindowsXP Home Edition disk which I got with my computer years ago with the purchase of the computer, but I have no idea where this disk is located now. I spent time looking for this disk so that this technician could fix it, but I never could find it. I don't know what the CyberDefender technicians did to cause my PC to become inoperable. I canceled my subscription or contract with them, but the company will return all of my money. They only returned $39.98 that I paid for the registry cleaner. They will not return $179.96 I paid for maintenance and software; nor will they return $9.99 per month that I paid for online backup. I have the names of the majority of the technicians who worked on my PC. Since I did not get the desired results, I should get my money back. This is not good customer relations. |
