In January of 2013 I hired Brandon Lange owner of Curley C. Lange Painting & Drywall in Port Neches Texas. After agreeing upon a set price and time limit construction began on my building. I own a small buisness in Beaumont, Texas. It started by Mr. Langs employees being late often and leaving early daily. Construction did not start on time and took 3 weeks longer than planned, costing almost twice the originol price. One day I popped in to see how things were going and I cought 3 of the employees drinking beer and smoking pot behind my facility. Then the complaints from neigboring businesses came pouring in: illegal dumping of trash, loud music, foul language, illegal parking, and general disrespect. The owner Brandon Lange appearing intoxicated told the Nail Salon owner next door to us to "Shut the F up and mind his own F business" When I tried to contact Mr. Lange via text, call & email I got no reply until it was time to pay then he insisted that I pay prior to completion of the job. The general quality of the work was poor at best. Their was paint on the tile, carpet, cabinets and counters. They did not clean up any of their mess in the parking lot. We had to pick up paper, sheetrock, paint buckets, cigarettes, soda cans, trash bages all ourselves to prevent being fined by our shopping centers managment. The job never was completed we had to finish painting it ourselves. After Brandon Lange ripped the check out of my wifes hand he got in his truck flipped me off and told me to go to hell bastard. Im 62 years old and Ive never been so disrespected in my life. It even got to the point where I felt my safety was at risk due to his erratic behavior. Several weeks later one of Mr. Langs employees contacted me asking if I would be willing to sign documentation that I witnessed this gentleman working at my property. This young man worked at my facility every weekday for almost a month. Mr. Lang refused to pay this young man his hourly wages. It was very upsetting. I ended up testifying for this young man. I feel it is very important that situations like this are heard. I feel this company is a public safety hazard. I would not be surprised if my personal property was damaged or some sort of retaliation was inflicted due to this report. I will always stand up for what is just... regardless. |

In 2011 I contacted Mr. Brandon Lange to do some drywall work in my home due to damage from Hurricane Ike. His men did a great job of tearing out and replacing the drywall. He and his men were always very polite and courteous. The following year I had them come back to do more work including painting. Mr. Lange even met me at a lumberyard to pick up material for us because we did not have a pick up truck. He also arranged for someone to repair a hole in my roof that was left after we had a wood burning stove removed and for someone to come in and cut one new door and widen another one when we were having his own men close off two doors to change the flow path in the house. We were very pleased with all of their work and are seriously considering having them return to do a little more work this coming spring. Most of his crew who came the second time were the same guys he sent the first time and we enjoyed working with them. We were very satisfied with the quality of work, the timeliness and the generosity of Mr. Lange and his crew when they were offering to pick up lunches and drinks for us nearly every day because they new we did not have the power turned on during the periods they were working on the house. |
