CT Recovery Whiskey River Saloon, Port Orange Damaged My Car!!! Port Orange, Florida |
25th of Dec, 2011 by User830216 |
I locked my keys in my car on November 30, 2011 and needed help with this. A guy I know recommended Frank Bacho (he also owns Whiskey River Saloon, Port Orange)because he owns a tow truck company, CT Recovery and did this for a living. Frank agreed to come and assist me for $40.00.
When he came out he was driving a brand new, red tow truck that looked very expensive, and I assumed he'd know what to do. I was told he had been in this business for many years including working up in New York before moving to this area.
Frank said it would be no problem to get my keys out. I told him, up front, that I did not want him to scratch my car considering I just got it in July. He assured me he would not scratch my car but he was wrong. He was used metal tools that were not meant for this type of work including using a crowbar. He tried using a t-shirt as a cushion but that did not work because he gouged & scratched the paint off of my car in several places around the window. I told him at least 3 times to stop because he was damaging my car, and he just ignored me. He was determined to get my keys out without any regard to what he was doing.
Frank was unsuccessful in getting my keys out, and I had to call another company to unlock my car. Before he left I showed him the visible damage he had done to my car. All he could say is, "I am sorry" but he did not agree fix the damage.
When I got back to my office I called Frank and told him I wanted him to pay to have my car repaired, and he was irate. He said he was just doing me a favor and that he did not charge me for coming out. First of all, how was he doing me a favor when I agreed to pay him $40.00? Second, why would I pay him for a service he could not complete? I have never heard of such. Would I pay a roofer or a plumber for just attempting to do work for me. NOT!!!! Frank then hung up on me which says a lot about his character. I thought he'd man up and take responsibility for his actions but he did not. HUGE DISSAPPOINTMENT!!
