Crown Valley Animal Care Center Dr. Scott Ivers should not be allowed to practice veterinary medicine Laguna Niguel, California |

I'm really surprised this veterinary practice and especially, Dr. Scott Ivers, is still in business. People really need to do their research before taking their pets through the doors of Crown Valley Animal Care Center. ANY veterinarian in the area would be a better choice. My beloved dog died because of his incompetence and I will never get over it. I feel guilty everyday for trusting her life to this man. I took her to another vet but it was too late. Due to the treatments prescribed by Dr. Ivers and the complete lack of nursing care while at his facility, she had to be humanely euthanized. When I picked her up from Crown Valley, she was non-responsive and so cold her temperature did not register on a thermometer. I would have to agree with others that have filed complaints: Improper diagnosis, improper/lack of treatment or care, price gouging and just plain arrogance on the part of Dr. Ivers. Go to this hospital is like playing with fire...eventually, you will get burned! |

This is an anonymous post and it is a malicious attempt to destroy my reputation for personal gain. This so-called bereaved person has their facts completely mixed up as well, easy to do when you are telling an outrageous tale. I have seen many cases were temperatures may be too high to register (as we too often see in the case of seizuring, toxic ingestions such as snail bait or xylitol, etc.), too cold...really?)... in Southern California I evidently missed a hyperthermia (i.e. a frostbite) case. Now this happens in Colorado, but it doesn't happen in Southern California.
If you have nothing to hide, why don't you post your information. This person will be prosecuted.

This is about Dr. Ivers - not the boarding.
I am writing this review, while mourning the loss of my dogs left eye. Months ago I brought her in because a cat had clawed my pups eye and ripped through the cornea. Dr. Ivers gave her some meds and within a week or so I felt as if her eye was as good as new.
Now, months later, I came home to her left eye being foggy and inflammed. I immediately took her into the Crown Valley Animal Care Center and saw Dr. Ivers. He gave her some meds and TOLD ME THAT SHE WASN'T BLIND. I asked if this was related to her previous wound and he said "No, she may have diabetes or glaucoma. I'll run some blood tests." I asked what could have caused this pressure in her eye? He responded, "A change in her at-home life/activity. If you moved furniture, maybe your roommate isn't nice to her, or your schedule changed." My mom and I were confused and then thought of a million ways of how WE could have caused this pressure to my pups eye.
The next day my mom suggested I take her to an animal Ophthalmologist. Since it was a Saturday, I was lucky to get an appt anywhere. I was able to see the specialists at another facility. Within minutes of the doctor looking into my dogs eyes, he was able to tell me that she was blind - FROM THE INITIAL WOUND!!! Meaning, that she has been blind for months! I can't help but think that Dr. Ivers did not know what he was doing and because of my lack of knowledge I thought that her eye had healed.
It is obvious that Dr. Ivers DOES NOT have the tools that specialists do because he could not even tell me that SHE WAS BLIND! Instead, he ran $400 on blood tests that had ZERO to do with the eye wound.
I can't help but think if I had known that there was such thing as "specialists" for animals the FIRST time, or if Dr. Ivers had referred me to a specialist (like he should have)... my dog could be seeing the world with both eyes, instead of just one.
TAKE YOUR ANIMAL TO SPECIALISTS FOR SERIOUS EMERGENCIES!!! |

I had an equally horrible experience with Dr. Ivers at Crown Valley Animal Hospital. It haunts me to this day that I allowed this incompetent veterinarian operate young pet who died because of his neglect. You don't want to take a chance like me and so many others have. |
