Cricket Cricket broadband internet is a scam! Internet |
20th of Dec, 2011 by User669331 |
So I went into walmart to purchase a cricket broadband wireless internet device for my friends christmas present. I also purchased a Top-up card along with it so that she can actually have internet with the device which was $40. I even spoke to one of the cricket representatives that happened to be there that day and they told me I would have no problems. We get back to her place and try to activate it and it is not working. We call in and one of the people on the phone had her give all this information as well as one of the first things he asked was where did you buy it. She is sitting and talking to him for atleast 20 minutes and then he waits to say at the end, oh by the way none of the devices sold at walmart or bestbuy work. In the middle of the night we drive to walmart to get our money back because the cricket provider said that everything has to go through walmart. Well we have to battle and sit around walmart for atleast an hour dealing with the managers, we get the device refunded no problem and find out the card can't be returned to them it all goes through cricket. So we call back to cricket and the people on the other line are just joking and laughing around....keep in mind I was speaking to a manager, so unproffesional. Half of the time he wasn't even replying to me there would be dead silence for a good 30 seconds so clearly he was setting the phone down or putting it on mute. my argument was even being listened to whatsoever. they just kept saying sorry I understand why you are upset but you can't refund the $40 card. I haven't even used this card and they can clearly search it to realize there was no activation of it. So pretty much they sold me a product they knew wouldn't work along with a $40 piece of cardboard that they can't refund to me. They don't even have a reason why they can't refund it. they just say they can't. does that make any sense....no. |
