MAGIC JACK This company would not do anything for me after selling me a defective device and they wanted to charge me additional money to replace it |

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I purchased this device many months ago with problems from the first day. I called multiple times during that first 30 days. THE ISSUE: I could receive incoming calls and outgoing calls, but my voice could not be heard while making an outgoing call. Ever. After countless chat live sessions, the problem continued, despite the same attempted fixes. They threw me the same questions, the same fixes, the same spiel. When I asked questions, I would be ignored and they would continue with their attempt at fixing the problem almost treating you like a robot. When I asked for my money back, they would flat out ignore me. If I persisted, they would state that my cooperation was required when attempting to help me and that the chat would be terminated and they did just that before I could get a word in edge wise. I called multiple times looking for a fix, hoping to find some answers, but the same treatment/process continued on.... Is their intention to frustrate so that they can find an excuse to disconnect? Getting through to them via phone is impossible. It's obvious they don't want to refund anyone. It sure seems that way. Countless hours speaking to them, no further ahead, going through the same questions and the same attempted fixes everytime I contact them. I just gave up because I felt I had no recourse. Then a friend told me to contact if they refuse to help. Not to mention, many people are complaining about them online! Enough is enough! I called again today with the same issue and lone behold they finally offered me a replacement. Since we have surpassed the 30 day free trial mark, they finally offered me a replacement for $10.00 + $12.95 shipping fee with 4.8% tax on top. I paid $19.99 for this lousy device and now I have to pay more for a replacement I have zero confidence in????????????????? They wouldn't even cut me a deal on the Magic Jack Plus (upgrade). I asked if they could apply my defective device towards a Magic Jack Plus (upgrade) and they simply ignored that. After getting frustrated due to being ignored for many minutes and advising them that I would contact ripoffreport.com if they did nothing for me, I received that same statement saying that my cooperation was required if they were to help me and I was disconnected yet again. After everything I have endured, they wouldn't compromise at all. I tried my best even though I am frustrated, but Magic jack would not budge. I've had enough of their tactics, so I decided to contact ripoffreport.com because I have been scammed. I am left with a device that is defective and doesn't work properly and they would not do a damn thing about it. They concocted a plan to prolong the free trial period in order to get out of replacing the device free of charge and/or refunding me my money. This company is terrible in terms of customer service and their product is even worse. |
