We started with this company back in April of 2011. A salesman came to our home after we stopped at their office to inquire about adding windows and screens to our already existing covered porch, at our vacation home. A salesman came to our home and discussed what they called a custom "fill in", three season room. We liked the product and negotiated price, and put a contract together, and put a down payment on our credit card. The contract stated that the install would take place in four to eight weeks and and would take approximately a week to complete. 10 weeks later we have not heard from CSA, and when we called two out of the three numbers were disconnected and the third number no one answered and the winter hours we still on the answering machine message. We contacted the manufacturer who said our windows were made and waiting for shipment, she agreed that CSA should have been in contact with us and she would send them an email immediately, since this was not good business. The salesman called us about 20 minutes later to tell us everything was ok. About a week later the saleman called again to say the product had arrived and would be installed around the end of June, we told him that was great we would be at the house that week for vacation, well he hesitated and said it might not happen until the first week in July, I told him that was still Ok, we were staying until the 5th of July, he then hesitated again and said that maybe not until the second week of July. We asked him to call us before they started the install. July 13 we received an invoice for the additional money that they wanted prior to installation and I told the salesman since we had not seen a single sign that our three season room was being installed, I would not send him a check. July 16th a friend of mine went to check my house to see if they had installed the product and he said that the installer was there when he went to check and told him that the install would be finished the next day. They took pictures with their phone and sent them to me. I was prepared to send a check until I saw that one of the windows had been installed with an exsisting support pole in the middle of the window. I immediately called my friend and ask if it really was installed with the pole in the middle of the window and he confirmed that it was. I then sent an email to CSA with a copy of the picture. Did not hear a word from them, and I did not send a check. The salesman called again and said that the install was completed, obviouly my email was ignored and when I told him there was a problem and we was not going to send them any more money until we were assured the problem would be taken care of. The owner then called and wanted to know what the problem was and we told him and he agreed to meet with us on the 25th of July, at 10 AM. July 25th the owner called again and ask to postpone the meeting until the next day, which we agreed to and on July 26th the owner did not show up, an installer did, telling us he was going to fix the problem, in talking to the installer he said he did the install according to the plans, which we never saw even though we were told we would see them for approval. After going over the whole install it turned out that two widows were installed with latches behind exsisting posts and could not be opened, the one window was even cut apart and the latch was cut off , which meant that the window would not latch or stay in the tract, so the installer screwed it in, hey wait this was suppose to be a sliding removable widow. Two other windows were also screwed fast and had no screen which would not allow for us to have a complete screen room. When we asked the installer why the window didn't fit, did someone measure wrong, he told us that they only use 4 foot windows, how can this be custom? Then he started to talk about a deluxe install package, what, this is the first we heard about this, of course that would cost more money. He then shifted some windows around on the pole side of the room and the best he could do was put the window in that the pole was more to the side, however that meant the latch was behind the pole. He then told us the problems would be resolved and he was suppose to bring a check back, so we gave him a check but refused to give the last ten percent of the price. He immediately called the office and the original saleman called and wanted to know what the problem was and we told him. He stated he was going to come to our house on July 28th to see what the problem was himself. He did show up and addmitted this was all his fault and he did not know how this could have happened, but he would take full reposibility for the problem, never indicated anything of what he was going to do about fixing the problem. He then preceeded to produce an invoice for the last ten percen payment. At this point it was very clear to us that they did not intend to fix anything and if we gave them the money we would never hear from them again. We then started to reaserch the company and your site came up with a complaint, so we did further reserch and found that there were six complaints filed with the Maryland Better Business Bureau, with only one being sloved to the satisfaction of the consumer, two CSA never even answered. At this point we relized that these people were not going to fix our problems, so we stopped payment on the check and the down payment on the credit card. Well that got their attention and we arranged to meet with the owner, they were one hour and forty minutes late for the meeting and then arrived with their big truck, great they brought the righ size windows and this is going to get fixed, not so. After words exchanged with the owner and installer they agreed they were going to make this right to which we told him when the job was completed and would pay him every dime we owed him. We went to lunch and came back an hour later to find that they had ripped out the entire sunroom and would have left, except their truck wouldn't start and we came back before they could leave. After the owner told us that he never had a complaint file against him and we produced the report from the MBB, he looked at it briefly and said he didn't want to see the rest and we were not doing good business, he absolutely refused to look at the report from your website. He then admitted that they were going to leave and wanted nothing to do with us. Upon removing the three season room they also damaged my house. Is this the end, I don't know he threatened arbitration. Now I know why they wanted the money up front.
