www.corporateregistries.ca and www.corporateregistries.com Here is my experience with them: On March 1, 2010 I filled out an online application for registry services with www.corporateregistries.ca to perform an Alberta corporate registration for me as they advertised on their website they could do for $99.99+tax and gov’t fees. In return for this payment they would perfom all of the filings and prepare and deliver the organizational minutes and minute book, corporate by-laws, issue share certificates, director, shareholder, and officer registries, and a shareholder ledger. My Visa credit card # was provided in the request however I was subsequently instructed by an email from corporateregistries.ca to make payment via credit card using a third party website 2checkout.com which it turns out is located in the US.After following the instructions I was informed by 2checkout.com on March 3 that they were unable to process my order as the account with Corporate Registry Solutions Inc (the company behind corporateregistries.ca and corporateregistries.com) was no longer active for payment of registry services because 2checkout.com does not accept payments for registry services. In an email exchange with Jose Nino of CorporateRegistries.ca (Google this guy and you’ll find he’s the registered “director†of this company in both Canada and the US and not just the “business development consultant†his email signature claims him to be) he advised that they were in the process of negotiating with a new credit card payment vendor and asked that I pay their $99.99+GST fee via Interac which I foolishly did on March 5. At that point communication from Jose Nino or anyone else (if there is anyone else) from CorporateRegistries.ca ceased and no further corporate registration services were performed nor was the advertised package of documents that I had paid for delivered. I was able to complete my corporate registration by dealing directly with s local government authorized registry office whom CorporateRegistries.ca had initial sent some chickscratched partially filled out forms to; whom they had provided my credit card details, however they did not respond to any follow up from the Registry agent for proper completion of the process. Once I saw a charge hit my credit card from this local registry office I contacted them directly and it became clear I would have to work directly with them and that the fee I’d paid corporateregistries.ca was for virtually nothing. Again none of the books, share certificates, or other related documents promised as part of their "Online Incorporation Service" for "$99.99 in 24 hours" were provided in the days, weeks or now months that followed despite providing them all of the completed incorporation certificates and documents in pdf format via email. Calls to their listed 1-888 # revealed that the # is not in service. Repeated email requests for either a refund or supply of paid services and documents have gone without response or action for over a month now. This company is clearly operating a scam across N.A. offering people registry services in every US state and Canadian province but provides nothing once payment is made in a direct deposit (interac) method; ie. a method that cannot be traced or reversed as in a credit card or paypal protected/insured transaction. My mistake for trusting them, but hope that others read this and avoid beingripped off like I was by this unscrupulous and fraudulent online “businessâ€! A fraud complaint has been filed with the RCMP with copies forward to the FBI, as well as my local police business crimes unit.Hopefully others ripped off by this online site will file similar complaints to assist the RCMP and FBI with prosecuting those behind these fraudulent online sites. |
