I was hired last year to help start a new medical assistant program. I was told when I was hired that I would work days, help was picking book, design courses, and order supplies. One day I got an email that the class was gonna stop giving me only a week in advances. So I had a meeting with the VP james kapitan, PM deanna riddle, & dean robert abel. The classes was just thrown together. Classes started january 2011 as time was told at the last minute that I would have to work nights. As time went a long I notice that I was the only person working with the medical assistant classes. It got so bad for me that I was teaching 8 classes alone with no lunch in a small room that they made into a lab with no sink! OSHA laws is you can't run a lab without a sink and a eye wash station and we did for about 3 months. Not only that I notice that we were getting all these new students and no supplies to run the program. So I started to ask questions about the supplies and Mr Abel yell at me! So I start tell the students to complain because they paid 14,000 to attend CSI. So we got a new president michael o'herron that I knew from an other school I worked thatn. I believed that he would help me so I told him what was going on. I had student go to him begging forf supplies so I can run the program. So two weeks ago I was called in the office and was told I was fired due to wrie up I've never received. I evening requested a copy of my file to see these so called write up's as well. The next day my students called me and said they had a meeting with mr abel and ms. Riddle and they told the students they let me go because I did not order supplies. I was very upset because I gave mr kapitan a list of supplies to order october 10, 2010 and they never did so and they blamed me. What they did to me was wrong. I have two kids going to college and I'm out of work due to lies! I don't know what CSI is doing with those students money but they are being taught without supplies and there's no way those students will get a job if they never drawn blood perform an injection. I will be contacting a lawyer. Signature Pissed out |
