I want to warn other people not to take their pet to this vet. I wish I would have checked online before going, but I didn't think about it because all I wanted was to get my dogs nails clipped. He is a very small dog, and hates to gets his nails clipped. So, the first thing I told Olga, the assistant, was that he does not bite but he will get really upset when you cut his nails, so you might want to put a cone around him. We get into the room, and she hands me a small muzzle and tells me to put it on him. So, I tried at first and said I don't know how to do this, I've never had to do this before when I take him somewhere, and that they never actually muzzle him. She was annoyed at me, left the room, came back with another muzzle and gave it to the doctor. He came in did not say a word to me, just got out a little rope, tied it around his nose and neck extremelly tight, to the point that my dog was now kneeling down with his eyes bulging out and the rope was smashing in his nose to his face. I was starting to get really nervous and upset as he was being extremelly hard on him. Then when Olga entered the room she started yelling at the doctor saying, "that is too tight, he can't breathe, that is too tight, let go." He said, "I can make it as tight as I want...put the muzzle on him." As he continued to tighten the rope even more. So then, she puts this muzzle on him and he starts yelling at her, "make it tighter, tighter." Now, my dog is freaking out, it is so tight that his eyes look like he is going to passout. Olga then started yelling louder at him, "It is too tight, I know you are mad but you can't take it out on the dog." So, I started freaking out saying, "are you mad, why are you mad?" Then, I see blood dripping out his nose, and I tell them to let go of my dog. I am going somewhere else, that they are hurting my dog. He said fine, and let go of him. At this point, my dog was in shock, didn't move, bark, anything, just looking at me. I picked him up and was so upset I didn't even know what to do. I told them that I have never ever experienced anything like this. Why did they need a muzzle, every other place just puts a cone around him, I wanted my money back, and if he gets an infection in his nose they are responsible. They gave me my money back, and I have filed a complaint with the police department. I honestly, feel that the doctor was mad that I wouldn't muzzle my dog for him and so he decided to hurt my dog. The entire experience was absolutely traumatizing.
