Commercial Maintenance Chemical Corp. CMC or Commercial Maintenance Chemicals Beware of their scam! Internet |

Please spread the word about this fradulent company. I've submitted a Better Business Bureau fraud claim and will be filing a claim tomorrow with our Secretary of State's Office. Regarding: "Floating Lift Station Degreaser" received from Commercial Maintenance Chemical Corp. out of Farmingdale, NY www.cmcchemical.com/ If you received any product or have been billed from this company it is in your interest to read this! These guys are real scam artists. Check them out for yourself - an online search of their company's name will come up with lots of discussion about their scams. http://www.ripoffreport.com/directory/Commercial-Maintenance-Chemical.aspx In some cases it was like I was reading from my own story. They clearly have been getting away with these Shenanigans - read on so we can all put it to a stop. My Story: I work with another Wastewater operator at a Municipal Wastewater Facility. Three weeks ago this operator called my cell phone to tell me that a Sales Rep from some company called our facility and he spoke with this person. The salesman's name was Joe Johnson and he told the operator that I personally had met with him (Joe, the salesman) at a recent industry tradeshow. I was not present during this phone conversation. However, the operator told me that this Joe Johnson then told him (the operator) that I had ordered a product from his company. The operator told this Joe J that he was unaware of this and that Joe J should call me personally on my cell for confirmation of whatever it was that I had ordered. I never spoke with anyone from this company, and I haven't been to a tradeshow since last November. Basically, this Sales Rep guy was lying (I also believe his name is name might be fake too). Fast forward a week later, the specific product mentioned above arrived at our town office by a UPS courier. It arrived with no bill or invoice. Since I was then concerned there would later be a bill, I tried on many occassions, via phone calls, to resolve this problem - at first in good faith- that this had just been some simple mistake. I was mistaken, they had scammed us. I've already wasted too much of my time with their scam artist receptionist(s?) on the phone - If your persistent like I am, they actually have this one receptionist woman who pretends to be multiple people each time you call, she insists her name is something else even though it's obvious it's her voice. SO basically I've pretty much given up on communicating with them - lots of dead end voicemails or being strung out on hold multiple times for long periods of time - almost an hour once). One time I was finally able to get someone there to tell me that they would indeed be sending a bill for the product and I would have to pay for it. After a brief and lively discussion, I then proceeded to tell that person that their company would not be receiving any payment and I planned to file with the Better Business Bureau and the State of VT Secretary of State. If you did not order a product from them but somehow it appeared at your doorstep (which is likely the case!) - DO NOT PAY them! It's surreal that they actually would try to pull this off on a Municipality. I suppose they think that they can get away with it because often times the one paying and/or receiving the bills for the town doesn't always know what the product is or what it's used for. Nice try guys. You messed with the wrong operator this time. Hopefully you will do what I did, other than waste your time on the phone, and file complaints with BBB and your Secretary of State's Office. Good luck!" |
