College of Southern Nevada (CSN) Dr. Bradley W. Gruner Institution purposely derailed students from achieving an education Las Vegas, Nevada |

Dear Dr. Gruner,Please be advised, this message is to notify you and your colleagues of your educational violations and illegal procedures at CSN. It's been over a week since B.M. last contacted you about her 'academic suspension' and going on 3 weeks since you last said you would help resolve her situation. You system appears to be structured in a way that scams students out of money and an educational experience due to a trend of incompetence. Examples of these unethical practices include but are not limited to prohibiting students from receiving federal financial aid and violating standard educational policies that hinders a students right to an education. These violations are systematically set up by your institution and carried out by your staff to purposely halt and derail students from getting the support they need to complete an education. According to your correspondence with me regarding my poem you said "I welcome input from students and am willing to do what I can to help. To do this, I need to know what the problem is and who it is affecting. If you choose toprovide this information, we can move forward." At which point I put you in contact with B. M. who explained her situation to you in great length. Of which you responded by saying "let me apologize for your very complex and frustrating interactions with our offices." "I've asked key personnel to look into your situation for me and expect to hear back from them soon. Also I've decided to use your very detailed account of your experiences toward our efforts to improve customer service and efficiency for the Spring Semester." To say the least, I expected more from the intern dean of student services than little to no help regarding this situation. How can you improve your flawed system for the Spring Semester when you have failed to address 1 students concerns in 3 weeks? Your institution purposely derailed B.M. from achieving an education due to employee training errors and denying her right to financial aid. At which point your institution took B.M. money and as of yet are unwilling to give a full refund. It appears that you and your staff hide behind excuses to try and cover up a massive employee incompetence problem that hinders students from an education. Your staff's actions have caused B.M. time, money, emotional distress and has left a bad taste of Nevada's higher learning institutions that show a trend of discrimination procedures. Because you have failed to act or are unwilling to act, you leave me no choice but to take action against your institution. As said before I am an observer trying to educate the educator on how to operate an educational institution properly. Because let's not forget education is a right not a privilege. You can't continue to hinder a students education because of employee incompetence. You can't deny a student financial aid because of human errors. You can't take students money and then refuse a refund when your staff has given out nothing but false information. You leave me no choice but to expose your institution for using unethical procedures. I only hope that you show more interest in dealing with this situation than you have over the past 3 weeks. This is a serious situation that raises many concerns about your staffs ability to handle simple educational operations as well as your institution for failing to meet obligations to your students under state and federal laws. |
