I have had Clear Internet Service since Oct 2009, in that time I have never got the Service as advertised - From there own Ad it says ~ "Its pretty simple really. CLEAR 4G offers unlimited, super fast take-it-with-you internet. That means the internet goes wherever you do in CLEAR coverage". I have Never had full 4G internet speeds. I have had constant and ongoing billing problems, the service is getting worse day by day. I have been told everything from I am out of the service area to borderline service area to 'The signal is right over your house, maybe you need to re orient your modem". The connection is completely dropped several times a day and as I write this I am barely getting dial-up speeds. It is so slow that last night while I was on live chat with a Cust rep. the chat box was so slow it was almost useless, until finally the carrier was dropped altogether. I am on Social Security and all monies are in an account that can easily be accessed for online bill payments. Yet NEVER in the past 18 months have they not cut of my service saying the payment has not gone through yet they can do it manually every time. I have had to make special arrangements to have someone physically enter my payment each month, this of course, costs me yet another phone call. They consistently are charging me a dollar here, four dollars there for some obscure tax, license fee etc. when this happens the service is disconnected until i can either have the fees dropped or have someone manually enter the payment. Of course this always happens during non-business hours. I have been keeping constant records of chats, phone conversations etc. When questioned about their lack of service they never answer my questions, redirect the conversation, or just disconnect from me. When I complain about the service I suddenly get an increase in internet speeds that lasts about 3 hours before they once again throttle back the connection. Since I have a two year contract cancelling there service is not an option I can afford, being on Social Security. All this costs me $80.00 a month After speaking with Customer Service I learned that my internet had been intentionally slowed. Apparently I use the internet too much so they slow it down. But I was given a solution. I was told not to use the internet for 2 to 3 days and then the speed should return. In September 2010, Clearwire introduced a bandwidth limiting scheme which cut users who download more than 8GB in one month to .25Mbps service despite advertising material touting unlimited service. Many users. have reported that their terms of service were modified retroactively to reflect the new policy, and Clearwire itself has unofficially acknowledged this. In December of the same year, a class-action lawsuit was filed in Washington alleging deceptive advertising concerning the company's policies of throttling and not disclosing early-termination charges.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clearwire Customers soon realize they are not receiving the service that was advertised and they were promised. If they seek to terminate the service, Clearwire adds insult to injury by collecting or trying to collect certain early termination fees. Multiple Class Action Lawsuits have been filed Class Action in WA, expanded to included IL, WI, OR, TX, FL, CA, MO, & NY
