Jared E Shafer killed my father
Jared E Shafer former public guardian for Clark County, Nevada killed my dad with his corrupt practices. I will explain what happened in this report.
My father worked for Nevada Power and Light for thirty years. Through hard work and strong financial management dad acquired an estate worth $600,000. When my mother died after 54 years of marriage, dad was not able to take care of himself. I lived in Grants Pass Or. and because I wasnt a resident of Nevada wasnt allowed to bring dad to my house. Alan Freer said we needed a guardian, Jared Shafer. I didnt know the entire story, which caused me to allow Mr. Freer and Mr. Shafer to take over. This occurred in 2007.
In 2009 through a yearly accounting I discovered Mr. Shafer had removed over $150,000 from my fathers accounts. The accounting performed by Gammet & King clearly showed double billings, charges for services never performed, and money sent to people who were listed as second guardians. One of these listings was Patience Bristol. Ms. Bristol received $24,000 for doing nothing. I went to court to challenge Mr. Shafer. On December 15, 2009 I received a call from Mr. Shafer. Mr. Shafer said drop your case or bad things will happened to your father. Ive been a guardian in Nevada for over 30 years and if I want some old guy to suffer, it will be done. If you love your dad drop this case. If you dont believe me, ask Mark Gaul what happened to his mother, that is if you can find him. I was shocked and replied Mr. Shafer I have a record of this phone call. Shafer replied check the number it is not a Nevada area code and there for I never made this call. Shafer went on, tell your lawyers to continue to file, this will only hurt your father.
The case dragged on for six months. My father was transferred to Chancellor Gardens of the Lakes. My father died in Chancellor Gardens. If you read the news articles about Chancellor gardens the man who wondered off and died was my dad. When questioned Mr. Shafer blamed the staff at Chancellor Gardens.
On April 21, 2011 I ran into Mr. Shafer in Henderson Nevada. Mr. Shafer said it is interesting how your father found himself in harms way. It is a pity how he died. Guess he suffered a lot before he passed away.
I lost in Las Vegas family court through unlawful rulings of Commissioner Jon W. Norheim and judge Chuck Hoskin. The judges have more responsibility than Mr. Shafer because they enable him to kill old people from families he doesnt like. My fathers death is the story of a system that kills seniors for profit. The profits go to the guardians who distribute money to those who enable the cruel and inhuman activity. Nothing will be done as a result of my report, but those who read these words will understand the Nevada system that brings unsuspecting seniors to the state for the single purpose of killing them and robbing their estates. Jared Shafer appears to derive extreme pleasure in accusing loving family members of being criminals. I witnessed Mr. Freer laughing at one family members expression when he was accused of being a criminal. If you are thinking of retiring to Nevada, think again, your family will be destroyed by the laws of the corrupt Las Vegas family court system.
