Loan Modification with CitiMortgage.
When I first applied for a loan modification with CitiMortgage in December 2009 my payments weren't in arrears. Cit;y Mortgage informed me that I could begin the trial modification period and make modified interest payments . CitiMortgage told me this without disclosing the possibility of negative consequences to my mortgage payment history, and under the expectation that I would receive a permanent modification under the HAMP or other CitiMortgage loan modification program there after I was sent a letter and a phone call telling me that I was in 4 month probation and that I had to make modification payments of $713.00 on time for the modification to be complete. Several letters were sent to me telling me that more of my personal information was needed. I sent the information and payment that was requested each month until October 2010 the same information was requested and I therefore sent the requested information and payments each time. Then I got letter telling me that they sold the loan to IBM to be final on November 1 2010 they were still sending me request for info as late as October 28, 2010. On November 1, 2010 , I called IBM and they told me to call back in a week because they didn't have all my paper work yet. On the 3rd of November [after the loan had been transferred] I get a letter from CitiMortgage saying I was denied loan modification and another letter saying I owed $16,000.00 (plus) - due by December or I would be in default. Now I can no longer talk with CitiMortgage, I have to talk to IBM! IBM says I owe them $14,000. in back payments due by December 16, 2010. I wasn't behind when I went into this Loan Modification to begin with. Now after following all the instructions to the " T" their telling me that I must come up with $$$$$$$ or lose my house after doing just what they said make only the modification payments of $713.00 per mo. IBM now wants me to reapply through them (IBM) for thier loan modification. What should I do now? I'm afraid to ask for any more help after what I'm going through now.
Thank You
HERMAN
