My sister was Baker Acted into Circles of Care on June 28,2011 by the Melbourne Police Department. She has been Baker Acted serval time prior to this date and are under the care of Dr.Vasudevan at Circles of Care. 2 1\2 years prior to the said date she was under the care of Dr.Mirsajadi. In which she was doing very good, she stayed stable and functionable with society,no problems no in and out stays at Circles of Care. Due to certain surcumstance we had to swithch Doctor's because of travel expense because Dr.mirsajadi office was located in Titusville, fla. After we changed her doctor which is Dr.Vasudevan now,She has not been stable nor functionable, she has been in and out of Circles of Care Due to the fact Dr Vasudevan changed her medication from what Dr Mirsajadi had her perscribe to.My Family and I have tried on serval different occasions to try and some what beg him to perscribe her the same medication that Dr Mirsajadi had her on in which she had no problems with at all,But he refuse to listen or make the change,So therefore she is getting worse, which led her being Baker Acted yet another time. A incident accured at Circles of Care tonight June 29,2011 involving my sister and a worker at the facility in where my sister was arrestted for felony battery. We need help with dealing with this problem and can not seem to find the right help for my sister in order for her to function and be a up right citizen.I had tried to call Circles of Care tonight to find out information on what happen and what is going on and Everyone at the facility that I spoke with was cold hearted, unhelpful, and down right nasty to me and my family, I went to the facility to ask for a copy of there policy for incidents and was refuse any and all information they called Melbourne Police Department on me to have me removed from the facility. In which I talk with the police and they ask me to leave. We are in desperate need of help in dealing with these problem and would like if anyone have any information that may or might help please do so.

Not to sound cold or rude, but hire a lawyer and put this issue in their hands. Since this involves a medical issue, there may be a possible lawsuit involved and many lawyers will represent you for free if they feel that your case is strong.
Best of luck to you and your family. |

I was admitted there for alcohol detox on the 11th of Nov. 2013. I told them I was under the care of the V.A. for 20 yrs for many conditions and that they were better equipped to help me. They didn't care. They said since I didn't bring my own meds that they would substitute with what they had and see if they could order some and maybe get them in a few days. They gave my Librium for my blood pressure and my pressure went higher. They gave me more Librium. On the 3rd day there of my BP being 50 pts too high, they gave me Librium 4 times a day with a double dose at 11 pm because I hadn't slept the whole time there. I began to refuse the meds because it was clear to me they didn't know what they were doing and wouldn't send me to an ER. They blamed me for not bringing my own meds and said I was suffering from detox still. I left AMA and went to a V.A. clinic where they quickly diagnosed me with peridoxical reaction to Librium, gave me Atavan, and sent me home in an hour.
They are too concerned at COC about how they appear to do what's best for patients. I feel sorry for the good ones that work there (they wear blue scrubs).
Sincerely,
Christian Jensen |
