In February 2011, I ordered a 'Mother of the bride' evening dress, I was excited as I was looking forward to wearing the dress for a special occasion. The supplier insisted I paid via Paypal, this gave me confidence (I was sooooooo wrong!) as I felt it gave me more protection as I was ordering over the web for the first time. I placed the order for $299, through Paypal, received the confirmation for paypal and was told the dress would be with me in 30 days! I waited and waited but nothing, I contacted Bridal and Formal Wear USA (they also contacted me on Bridal Factory outlet email (details enclosed), emails passed back and forth, still no sign of the dress, they confirmed the tracking number but when I checked there was no record of the number on the system. I contacted them again, same thing nothing. So I contacted Paypal, as they say 'you money is safer with Paypal - how WRONG can you be, they do not care about you or your money, all they do is give you the run around, from department to department, saying they will sort it for you and NEVER doing anything!!!! Do not trust them, I say this through bitter experience! After pushing things with Paypal 5 days later I received a small, very light package by our local delivery agent, luckily I opened it in front of my business partner, it was an EMPTY package all it had in it was a foam mat. I called Paypal and asked them what to do, they said return it and reject the delivery, I did what they said (but later they told me they could not process my claim as I did not get a police report - although they told me to send it back!) a nice way to get out of paying you your money back!!! I contacted the supplier and they confirmed I had signed for the package (not on the shipping number I was given but a different one) and that was the end of the matter, still to this day no dress, I am $299 worse off, it has cost me almost as much trying to gain some justice here, this amounts to FRAUD but no one cares, Paypal use the small print to get out of any responsibility. The supplier says a package has been delivered, I am left with and empty package (ALL PHOTO's and statements of 3rd parties are available to anyone who would like them, almost a 100 emails and copies of a Small Claims Court case taken out against Paypal in the UK over this incident) but still nothing, no one has been held to account, how many times is the USA going to allow this fraudulent activity to take place before they close them down?????? My last resort was my credit card company Mastercard, they too are reluctant to get involved, its simple for them they can make a 'charge back' against the supplier and give me my money back, why is it do difficult when the TRUTH is so obvious - DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES ORDER FROM CIERAS, BRIDAL AND FORMAL WEAR USA - BRIDAL FACTORY OUTLET or anyone else who offers the same service/goods you may be throwing away your hard earned money like I did! Don't be fooled NO ONE cares if you lose your money, this is why they are still committing the same fraud, every day of the week!
