We are a Las Vegas show, who committed to doing a performance in Iowa in October, 2010, for a promoter named Chris Cardani. His company name is "Cardani Productions". We received a last minute phone call from Chris, once we had already arrived in Iowa for the show. He told us he had to cancel the show because of promotional failures, resulting in low ticket sales. He also told us he would live up to his committment and legal obligation, to pay us our fee, as we were seven musicians, who had traveled across the country on HIS gamble, not ours. Of course, in the end, Chris went into hiding and screwed us. He played the cowards game and left us holding the bag. We also, sadly, just learned from his old employer, that he ripped them off as well, along with others they know about. We are told that he has many personal issues and owes people a lot of money. Bottom line is he is not to be trusted. I am being very kind by not sharing exactly what personal issues people he has worked with are openly sharing with us. Bottom line is Chris Cardani, of Cardani Productions, is NOT to be trusted. Talent beware!! These are not the times to be trusting any strange "so-called" promoters. There are too many losers like this, putting on events, without actually having the funds to pay for them. This guy is a total gambler, on the backs and welfare of the acts he hires. He's an unethical promoter who play the game, hoping for large ticket sales, so he might actually be able to pay the bills attached. My personal feeling is Chris definitely pays himself, before anyone else, who's blindly involved in his scams. This friendly "warning message", goes out respecfully to all the hard working talent and producers out there, who invest ..and count on idiots like this, to at least keep the basics of a deal in place. Some degree of honestly and class would be cool as well, wouldn't it? Good luck and watch your back. 100% of your money up front from Chris Cardani of Cardani Productions, if you do end up working with him. All the best! :) |
