Check Systems Recovery Don't even bother with this company 855-461-0742 Amherst, New York |

This company is ridiculous. All they are is a bunch of bottom feeders. I got a call from someone (the number comes up PRIVATE) the first time i didn't answer and they left a voice mail stating that they got a faxed document and that they needed to set up a time to serve me with a "notice of intent" and they said "you've been notified" they said the only way to stop it was to call this number 855-461-0742 for the complaintant and get a "stop order" Well, i didn't call right away, I was out of town, but i did look up the number she gave me on the internet and i couldn't find a single legitimate site associated with it. All i found was another person who also had the same call, so i did not call them. This morning, she called me back (again it comes up private) she said she had left me a message but would not give me any information on this company just said i had to call them to get a "stop order" I told her that the only information i could find on this company said they were a scam. Her response was "they are ma'am , you can find lots of things on the internet that say companies are scams" She then asked when she could serve me and I said..come on over after work..and she hung up. Out of curiosity I called the number to try and get to the bottom of who these people were even trying to collect for. I was transferred to a man named John who was immediately on the defense. I said "hello my name is XXXX" and that I wanted to find out why someone told me to call this number. He started immediately yelling at me and saying, Who called you..no one from here called you..wait, why does your name sound familiar..oh wait, your file is on my desk, you called us a scam!" Well, that's weird since the person that is supposedly going to serve me would have to be in Orlando, and this company is in New York, and there is no way that there was enough time for the person that I spoke to to have called him, or faxed any information, it was litterally 30 seconds. Anyhow, he would not tell me why they called, he just kept saying "who is your attorney, tell him to call me" They are scammers. A collection company BY LAW has to tell you who the creditor is, and be willing to put it in writing so that you can validate the debt. This guy wouldn't even tell me who they were, why they were calling, what i might owe..nothing. If they call you, don't even give them the time of day..and DON'T let them intimidate you!! what ever you do , don't give them ANY personal information. Any process server just serves you, they don't call first and ask for a "stop order" and they certainly don't care if you pay the debt or not. This is the second company i've had try this approach..it's a new low for collection companies.
