My client was also scammed by Manuel W. Clark, who also goes by many other names, however it was in 3918 campus drive, Laguna hills of California. The team consisted of three people: Brian Morgan Burkle, Kristopher Kane and Manuel W. Clark aka Manny Clark. Manuel W. Clark introduced himself as the head of the SMH Management Inc. The signing of a contract took place at Manuel Clark's gym but My Client was approached by Brian Morgan Burkle and Kristopher Kane at place of employment. These two individuals knew my client had some money saved up for his invention. My client had just obtained a provisional patent that gave him one year to put his product in the market. At this point my client was seeking investors. Mr. Brian Morgan Burkle and Kristopher Kane talked my client into meeting up with Manny Clark at his gym in Newport Beach. They guaranteed my client that the investment opportunity they were offering him would be sufficient to fund the production of his invention and my client would not need to seek any further for investors. My Client met Manny Clark, Brian Morgan Burkle and Kristopher Kane in two occasions at Manny's gym. First occasion was to review and sign the contract and the second time was when my client handed Manny Clark the initial investment. Manny Clark assured my client his gym would serve as collateral since all they had to show my client were some pictures, paperwork and a piece of rock that looked like an unprocessed gold. My Client had worked with Brian Burkle at the same company for years. Therefore, Brian Burkle and Kris Kane used their reputation and friendship as collateral. Kristopher Kane attested to having known Manuel W. Clark for over 10 years. He assured my client this would help him and them out. Since that day, my client has not received his money back or any portion thereof.
