Century Link 2 Months And 2 Day Basic Telephone Services Cost Me $145.39. PIRANAS Charlotte, North Carolina

After Switching From Charter Bundle Services In Late April 2011 To Direct Tv Bundle Services, I Chose Century Link As My Basic Telephone Land Line Carrier. Very Very Costly Mistake!!! Last Month I Spent Over Half An Hour On The Phone With Charter As They Were Trying To Collect Phone Payment For June And Half Of July. They Informed Me That Century Link Had Missed Their Deadline To Switch My Services Over And They Had Been My Provider. I Explained To Her My Caller ID Had Not Worked Since June 21st And I Was Pretty Sure I Was A Century Link Customer On That Date. After Talking To The Nice Customer Service Representative, She Kindly Adjusted My Bill. Last Month I Received My First Bill From Century Link For $156.00 Plus. I Called And Was Told They Would Adjust The Bill And Not To Pay Anything Until I Received The Adjusted Bill. Today I Received Another Bill For This Month $135.36 So Again I Called To Get An Answer As To Why My Bill Was So High For Basic Telephone Services. The Impatient Representative Quickly Told Me I Had A Past Due Amount Of $89.88 due Plus $45.48 Due This Month. I Explained To Her I Only Had Basic Telephone Services And She Loudly Told Me Someone Had Internet Services Included On My Bill And That Was Why My Bill Was So High Last Month And I Had Received A Credit For That, But My Bill Was Correct That I Had Just Received. Remember We Are Talking About 2 Months And 2 Days Services. I Told Her I Wanted To Disconnect Services And Was Transferred To A Very Nice Lady Who Explained To Me That The Bill I Received Was For 3 Months Basic Telephone Services And Connection Fee Of $27.50. She Informed Me That There Would Be A $19.25 Disconnect Fee Also. After Falling Out Of My Chair I Asked Her How Soon I Could I Could Be Disconnected And She Said In A Few Minutes. Are You Kidding Me?? I Have To Pay A Total Of $46.75 Connect And Disconnect Fees Just To Flip A Switch. This Is The Worst Company I Have Ever Done Business With And Would Highly Recommend You Look Elsewhere.
