two months in and time to give notice,in more ways than one. drivers beware! you want a good shankin? go to cti. tell you ANYTHING to get you to sign on. a week AFTER sending you for a pre-employment drug test that you pay for it.make you pay for load locks,wtf? company phone? uh uh. they purposely keep you shy of the 9000 mile full time threshhold to keep an IMPLIED THREAT to your job. $20.00 each pick up or drop,whoopie when one drop may take 8-10-12 hours. They will prevent you both physically and timewise from being able to get a shower and something hot to eat. you might be stuck for two daysmaking pick ups nowhere near to a restaurant or truck stop, then dispatch you five or six hundred miles away with an appt. time leeway of 45 minutes. of course you miss three appt.s and you're subject to termination. another IMPLIED THREAT. first month of employment i was out five and six days at a time and never got over 1600 miles
A WEEK! OMG! don't damage a truck or trailer. YOU'RE, responsible for the first thousand in ANY damages, you're fault or not. no hearing, no statement, nada. just pay it (or they'll fire ya). you're also responsible for your load (for example, produce) four pallets with 90 different items on them loaded two at a time by a forklift operator don't slow down for nothin. short a case? better hope it ain't some exotic stuff from Japan! heres the big one, (as far as i'm concerned) are you listening AZDOT? they'll give you an appt. time 13-1/2 hours into a 14 hour shift. No way you're gonna get loaded and back to somewhere to park (in LA thats a trick) within ones legal limit. You'll tell them "i don't have the time available" but it goes this way. "you're ten miles away, you have the time to get there and you can't miss the appt." IMPLIED THREAT again. attn: DOT Topock scales, random check times/dates on bills of lading vs. log book. (lotta drivers gettin loaded at multiple places while in the sleeper don't ya know) get a clue bootleggers! its russian roulette running like that and CTI will throw your a$$ under the bus with out a blink.
