My daughter heard an ad on the radio that Disney needed kids for upcoming shows and major films. She jotted down the 800 number and came in the door all excited and begging me to call. I did, sounded legit..I was told that they were holding AUDITIONS and only select few would be chosen. It also sounded legit bc a Disney Star from the Suite Life if Zack and Cody would be there. I got excited too. How cool was this going to be, what a great first experience for my daughter who has wanted in this industry for a year or so now. We get to Gaylord Opryland Hotel and Convention Center (made it more legit bc thats a top notch place) Saw hundreds of excited kids and moms, it was exciting, they had pop music BLARING and it was hectic..we all had to stand out of the ballroom and fill out forms until they were ready for our group to come in...at this point I am wondering why I am not seeing the Disney or Nickelodeon logo anywhere..hmm..red flag..ok so we get caled to go in the room and are seated by employees in an orderly fashion, btw we were crammed like sardines.I look around and the posters I see are for CELEBRITY ACTORS CAMP??? what the heck is that??? (red flag) anyway..everyone is seated and the upbeat music stops. A lady with a cheap suit on and make up that reminded me off tammy faye baker takes the microphone. As soon as she started talking I knew we were in trouble..this was no audition this was a sales pitch. I had been duped and what made it worse was that MY CHILD would be the one to suffer..thats about as low as a scam artist can go. I wanted to walk out then but my daughter wanted to see Mr Moseby from Suite Life..and I didnt want her to remember this with me walking out upset. I sat through the whole ordeal. I have to admit these guys are good at what they do. they get these kids hopes up that they are going to be the next major star, you could see the sparkle in the eyes of these little children who truly believed what these low life adults were PROMISING them. They said that only a very few would get called back today and if you did not answer your phone they would not call you back but rather they would replace you with another child. I knew the call would come...they wanted money not talent. My child ha never taken acting lessons and I heard her audition, she was so nervous she spoke very quietly and pauses and said uhhhh several times..I love my kid more than anything but I highly doubt her talent got us that callback, there were kids with experience, 4in wide portfolios etc and MY child was one of the 50 best out of 800? I highly doubt it, she went for the experience and to see Mr Moseby!!! (thankfully she understood when we left and I told her it was a scam) she just said "it was fun though and I got to see Mr Moseby and he is short haha) She is a rare exception I am SURE, I saw the kids and parents who were genuinely believing what these people said.
Disny or Nickelodeon was not there and there were NO casting agents at all. I went thinking she was going on an AUDITION not to sign her up for a 5500 dollar" camp" . When I got the call today (I knew I would) that she was chosen they wanted cash immediately..I hung up..DONT WASTE YOUR TIME! This is a sad scam that breaks the hearts and crushes the dream of children |

Hey just one question Cassie, how can I take your comments about the showbiz seriously when you don't have an agent or Sag?? Oh wait a second don't you get paed to teach for this camp?? You mean parents are shelling out thousand to pay for you to teach when you can't even get started when you have been apart of the camp for three years now. HMmm I wouldn't pay for you to teach MY kids!!
Sorry to call you out hun but you deserved it and if Adrian is any bit of a smart guy he should fire you for being rude to everyone and making his company look bad! Sorry Cass life is tough. :) |

Your right facts DON'T lie! :) I'm someone who worked at the camp and I know who you are (since you don't seem to have a problem throwing your own customers names around and de-faming them!) Cassie Corsaro girl who blocks the camera with her hand in video I found from another post. She isnt apart of any proff acting group such Sag, equity OR anything.. NO AGENT (even though she has been with CAC 3 years I might add!) and guess what when Adrain leaves to go start another camp she is in charge of teaching your kids and you pay HER thousands.. Maybe someone should ask Adrian (who obviously found a great way to make a good pay check) why this is. I mean I haven't had any kids I know go to the camp but I did help out with the camp and learned allot about what this business is about! So maybe watch yourself from being so rude online doll. I never said DON"T go to the camp flat out ever but I am saying the weekend courses where they fly to your city give you a very very small margin of getting any sort of anything from those classes since most agents and directors live in LA and NY and if they did have maybe one come its pretty much for show. If you have allot of money and don't really care where it goes by all means go enjoy the celebrities or whatever and if you get invited to the La camp (which is the one exception and can give you a better chance of being seen by important people) go. But if you just plan on doing one camp at one price GOOD LUCK cause your child won't be getting anything. And its going to cost you tons to get anything from the CAC.

| This is such a premeditated scam, it's unbelievable. Whoever Cochino is, my guess is she's on the payroll of this "camp." I have nothing against parents paying enormous sums of money for developmental activities for their kids, but don't lure people into your sales pitch with bogus claims. There is a fine line between "puffing" and outright "lying." These people seem to cross that line drastically and often. |

I recently signed my daughter up this audition. I wasn't able to take her, so my wife did. I was very excited for my daughter and looked forward to hearing how she did. While the Disney name is proudly flaunted in the radio ads, you will notice that CAC is not. It isn't mentioned. We will call this red flag number 1.
Upon arriving at the audition locale, the doors were to be locked due to the high number of "Disney" celebrities on site. CAC, Mr. Moseby is not a Disney celebrity, and there is a very simple and obvious reason why he is not a Disney celebrity. It is because he is older than 17 years old. It doesnt get any simpler than that. Therefore the doors were locked so that the parents seen through your charade would have a more difficult time leaving. Red flag number 2.
Red flag number 3? The acting lessons I never heard about untill the last 7 minutes of the entire ordeal.
The company is not a scam, but it steadily gaining a less than reputable standing among the people who wasted their time dealing with these ding dongs.
CAC, please stop using under-handed methods to generate potential clientele. If you would have been more upfront with what this "audition" was about, I would at least given your camp preferencial consideration while I consider whether to allow my daughter to take acting or drama lessons or to involve her with local theatre. I wish everyone the best of luck with their camps, children, and lives. Thanks for reading and God bless.
