There are very few times when I will complain about something but I feel it is necessary because of this company’s chronic behavior.http://www.cdearth.com/ is a software retailer who offers you free introductory software if you just pay the shipping charge of $1.96 which I did October 27, 2011. If you do not want the Cd's they tell you to return them which is exactly what I did (return to sender). Well here it is December 13, 2011 and they charged my account $29.98. When I spoke to their so-called "friendly" customer service they got indignant and told me more than once that they do not return any money. I was able to speak with a supervisor who in turn refused to return the unauthorized money they took from my account. In addition, he refused to give me any additional information about the company other than a P.O Box. There are literally hundreds of complaints of the same nature by many people across the internet. I want to warn everyone against purchasing or doing any business with this company as they are at the very least highly unethical if not criminal. I discovered their website does not provide anything more than a email address. I did some research and found a "customer service" phone number, no thanks to them, which is 1-866-789-0369. It is my mission to bring this companies unethical and possibly criminal activities to any and everyone who will see this information. I would appreciate if anyone who reads this pass it on to everyone you know, chat with, email or live with. feel free to put my name with this post and pass it on. I will be starting with the Texas and North Carolina Attorney General's office and will not stop until I put these thieves on every public venue that I can. This will not pass, I will not stop until these people are held legally responsible for their actions. Please pass it on!Steven R. Smith
DateComment12/6/2011It's bs, they give you the basic information and they don't add that they will be taking out money and send you more cd's. I strongly suggest that no one signs up for this you don't get your money back either! NEVER SIGN UP!!
Lisa11/29/2011please stop sending me this software packages and stop taking money from my account this is not proper this was not what i saw when i came on this site,stop extorting money from me.i am a student,the money you are fingering is my fees my parents gave to me and i am not under any financial aid.if i remember clearly you asked me to pay for only shipping,but when i got my bank statement you had taken more than required,please do not send me these cd's and stop taking my money
chika11/7/2011What on earth is this CD company about, why do you keep billing me for Cds i have sent back to you already and you keep sending new ones which i dont really want. please, please stop, because i will go to my account and find money gone out of it. this is fraud in a different degree. I dont want to take this far, at the moment am not working but the little i have will also be getting missing in the bank. Please cancel any transactions because i have not signed any agreement for cd deliveries.

Rose11/2/2011Hello, customer service. Today, I received unsolicited CDs in the mail with a note that I have 25 days to explore them. The truth is that any unsolicted material sent to any address, the recipient is NOT responsible for paying for them or mailing them back. For the FIRST set of unsolicted CDs, I am willing to send them right back (no exploration of them)but not at my expense. Send me a self-addressed stamped envolope big enough to hold the set and I will mail them back. Any future CDs sent my way will just be put into the trash and you lose them. The sheet that came with the unsolicted CDs identify me as Cust.#: and the unsolicted CDs Order #: 2. The package ID was . My name is Garry Moore. Whatever you did to make me a customer, STOP. Delete me. Cancel any "membership" that has my name or my customer # and DO NOT send any more unsolicted CDs. You have been warned that they will be trashed and not returned.
Garry11/1/2011STOP... What is this? I do not want and/or ask for any more than the free one. Make sure you credit my account and tell me what to do with this cd not ordered. I am not ready to pay for return since I did not authorized this transaction.
jean marc10/27/2011Good day to you I do not want anymore cd's from you. I asked for the first free cd's and you keep on sending me cd's and deducting money from my account. I do not want these cd's and I am not willing to pay for them!!! Pls refund me and I send your cd's back. It is not even readable on my laptop!! Thank you

Shirley10/17/2011oh, no. i wish i had seen these comments before, my cd's should of arrived by now, needless to say they haven't. I will be visiting the bank tomorrow to ensure further charges are not incurred. thank you for the warning everyone
Treacle10/12/2011I found this website looking for your phone #; after calling it--2rings and a disconnect. This is obviously a scam based on all the other comments I'm reading here. Consider this a cancellation to your "club". If you charge my account any further, I will pursue prosecution. Your club will be referred to the BBB.
MNLASS10/10/2011You were not authorized to take money out of my bank account after taking the postage fee of $2.96. Due to your actions I have a debt with my bank when you took out another payment of : 2nd- $29.98(7/20/11), 3.st- $5.96 (8/04/11) 4nd- $59.96(9/14/11) 5st- $5.96(9/29/11) Total:$104.82 The cd software I never received. You have no right to take money of my account without my permission. Please , Close my account . STOP! took my money on my account and return all my money you have stolen from me or I'll be forced to take legal action against you and don't think I won't do it.You people are running a scam here and you messed with the wrong person when you messed with me and my fixed income. Shame on you and how dare you steal from an elderly person. Return the money you took from me. Send the check as I stated I no longer have a bank account thanks to you!!!
