cash advance
Cash Advance USA Steven Johnson Cash Advance USA claiming to sue for loan never taken. Had personal info Including SS# Internet
13th of Jul, 2011 by User128713
I received a phone call threatening to sue me and possibly have me arrested for a payday loan never taken out. The man said he was Jonathan Reed of BCS Legal and was referred by Steven Johnson from Cash Advance USA. He claimed I took an internet loan for $300 and I would have to pay over$1000 and go to court. The return phone # was (561)705-0140. He knew my full name, my Social Security #, my address, my email address and where I work. He had a heavy Middle Eastern accent. I told him to call my attorney and he said he would not and said I had to pay this money!

The same thing just happened to me! I am crying and scared out of my mind. He had all my information and said he was going to call my employer and the Sheriff's department!! I told him to hold on while I called my attorney and he hung up! He had a middle eastern accent. He said money was deposited to my account and when they tired to take it back they were declined. I screamed that I had never taken a loan and no money was in my account. I am scared to death now. I am crying and so afraid. What do I do? Who can I call? Please someone help me! Are they going to get the sheriff after me!

Did they ever come arrest you? Did they call your employer?

same thing happened to me just now! i filled out a loan application online and ended up up getting calls from a bunch of random numbers saying i was approved for loans i didnt evn apply for. the one that stuck out the most was this guy saying his name is steve johnson but had a real heavy idian accent i thought to myself thats VERY UNLIKELY his real name. but i went along with it anyway. we got disconnected because my phone lost service. when i got service back he called once from 553-866-6592, and 3 times from 438 (that was the whole number which is really weird). he left 3 voicemails urging me to call him bac right away and he has all my personall info and ban info and this was the final verification process. he called back again when i answered i asked where he was calling from and he said brooklyn NY. i called him a liar and said i looked his number up and it came from india or brazil and he claimed it was secure line thats why. and explained thats y it hangs up if i try to cal back. i told him cancel al my info and stop the loan he then began to start asing me more personal questions and i told him i was going to contact the social security office and have my bank changed. and have him arrested he quickly hung up the phone.
