This report is about Capital 1st Transportation Systems Inc. H/Q out of Copenhagen Denmark with a US office based out of New York, NY. I applied for a position as a Project Supervisor in late November 2010. I was contacted by Eva A. Cohen, Human Resources - (646) 461-7503 via email with the requirements of the position. Early December 2010 I was offered the position and promised $3000.00 for a 4 week paid training in which my manager, Steven J. Martin, would email me training materials daily and at the end of each week I was required to take a test and return it completed by Monday of the following week. A $75,000.00 annual salary would be my compensation once I completed the training successfully and was offered the position. I completed the 4 week training and was promised the $3000.00 paycheck was sent from the corporate office by Thomas Hopkins, Senior Accountant, Capital 1st Transportation Systems, Copenhagen/Larsbjoernstraede, 3, Copenhagen, Denmark 1454, on January 14, 2011. I never received the paycheck. In addition, I was offered additional paid training for a week in New York, but a week before I was due to start training in NY, Steven J. Martin sent me an email that the company was experiencing financial problems and the training was cancelled until further notice. They planned on starting the next phase of training sometime in May or June of 2011. The worst part is my manager Steven J. Martin, used my credit card to purchase "Apple" electronic equipment valued over $3000.00 and shipped via USPS to the Ukraine where an office was being opened. Although I was promised over and over I would be reimbursed for the purchases, and after payments from Capital 1st Transportation Inc, SunTrust Bank account was made to my credit card accounts, the payments were always reversed, denied, or the bank account was reported in-valid. Since February 16, 2011 when Steven J. Martin sent an email that the company was experiencing financial difficulties I have been trying to contact him, not only for the promised paycheck, but mostly for the monies to pay on my credit cards. I have filed claims with the credit card companies, the post office, the BBB, the Attorney General's office and am doing my best to put this company and their fraudulent activities on notice, so this does not happen to anyone else. I checked their website and it appears to be down and under construction until May. If anyone can provide additional information or more claims I can file, all suggestions would be greatly appreciated. |
