Cady Studios Cady and Cady Charged for pictures never received Jacksonville, Florida |

This "business" (I use that term loosely) is one of the most unethical I've dealt with. They are contracted by local schools to take school photos. The photos I bought had to be pre-paid and I had no problem with that. I did however, have a problem when after several months, I never received the photos. I gave it several months before contacting their customer service department, where I was told that they needed my address and they would resolve the problem. Well after numerous email exchanges, it's over 6 months later and still no pictures, or refund. I was told they sent the photos to me twice, yet I never received them (or tracking information). I was told they were at my local post office waiting for me to pick them up, but they weren't there when I went to pick them up. I was also told I would be refunded my money, which has yet to happen. After charging me for something I never received, they, through email, wanted my credit card info. in order to process the refund. NO WAY! Why would I let a company like this get the chance to rip me off again? The last response I received from them said: "(My name here), a refund to your credit card would have gone through to you within 2 business days. As you will see in the email string below, you refused to give me your credit card number so I could get this expedited to you. I did submit a request for a refund check to be sent to you instead, and Ill check with finance to see if that was sent. Naturally we wouldnt send the pictures to you for a third time if were refunding the charge. I dont see how producing and shipping an order twice, and then refunding the money could be considered fraudulent, but youre entitled to your opinion. Ill check with finance on the status of your refund check. Let me know if theres anything else we can help you with." Okay..a few problems here. YES, I did refuse to email my credit card information to someone I've only spoken with through emails, to a company that ripped me off in the first place! Secondly, if I never received photos, and they could never be tracked, then you wouldn't be giving me photos a third time! If I had the pictures sent to me twice and a refund, would I really be wasting my time contacting you again? Finally, how long does it take to issue a refund check. Really? Several months? What's wrong with your "finance department' that makes this such a tedious task? Finally, yes you can help me, give me back my money! By the way, I did respond to this last email and never received a reply. I have the entire string of emails for anyone who is interested. It's a shame that memories of your children can be treated so carelessly and that a business can charge for goods they never produced. How does a business of good ethics make it the customer's fault for never receiving what they bought. Take that up with your shipper, not ME! Anyone interested in this company's BBB report (I also reported them), the link is below: http://www.bbb.org/north-east-florida/business-reviews/photographers-portrait/cady-cady-studios-inc-in-jacksonville-fl-133241432/ I am interested in hearing from other parents who have been a victim of this company's unethical practices.

This is the craziest thing I have dealt with on a company. I am a customer from Matilda Harris. My daughter attends elementary school there, for which your company came to the school, to do their pictures. Would've been great and wonderful had I not had to run around the globe 3x to get them from you. After all, you sure took the time to cash my check. Perhaps that rings bells. I have heard the whole schools pictures did not come in, but my daughters Teacher said the teachers did. How that makes any sense, I do not know. How your phone has not blown off the hook about it, I do not know. I do not know if I was the only one this happened to. I do not know how the company has not lost money on this, considering the cost of mailing out all these pictures. Our pictures were taken sometimes in April. I just received mine in the mail yesterday. I was half expecting it to be of someone else s child, considering on my THIRD phone call to your company, I had to give my child 's name, and all of our information, + the background I chose + our address. What I want to know is, , how do you not know that. How is it OK for a portrait company who only has 3 tasks./ get a good picture, develop the picture, get it to the customer. 1/3 isn't really good, you know? Why take my information, and then not use it. Why did the school not contact everyone and et everyone who ordered know. They blamed you guys. Even still, no matter whose fault it was, I shouldn't have had to chase my pictures down 5 days before the end of the school year. The school said you would mail them. I had to ask the school what happened to my pictures. I should have never HAD to ask. YOU had my info. I should've been emailed, called, and USPS mailed, or at the VERY least ONE of the THREE. You never did. I called talked to a customer service rep, who forwarded me to a "manager" a man, whom I left a message for, who didn't even show me the common courtesy of returning the call, even though I said my phone number THREE times (and slowly too). I had to call back, AGAIN, and demand my picture, this time, someone finally took my info, when I said, I wanted it free, I was told my order would include an extra 8x10. (I only ordered one in the first place) this was not OK by me by any means, I feel for all the hassle I have gone though, I should have received a whole package for free, plus a refund actually. So one, a joke! Then to not get it? A slap in the face! . But lo and behold when I got them (they actually came, almost 3 months later... might I add) there was ONLY ONE 8x10 in there. Am I shocked? Not really? Do I plan on taking this up with the BBB? (< The Better Business Bureau) Likely. Especially if I do not hear back from your company within 36 hours. Do I plan on posting this on for my 250 blog's facebook fans, plus my husband 600 friends, and my 500 friends? Total facebook out reach 1000 Likely. Do I also then plan on tweeting this to my 650 followers? Likely. Do I then also plan on posting about it on my personal review and giveaway blog? Why, yes, I do!
(The total Social Network outreach totals +2, 000 if you didn't catch that. )
Have a great day
