I Googled "Steren 300-840SL" (a four conductor cable) and Buy.com came up with the lowest price of $33.24 for a 1000' roll. Went to their site and the web page still showed $33.24. Placed my order and didn't really pay attention to the price until AFTER the transaction when I noticed the price had jumped to $36.24. Figuring I must have looked at the price wrong I went back through Google and retraced my steps. Sure enough the price initially displays as $33.24 but when you actuall go to order it bumped up $3 to $36.24.
I contacted their online customer service and was told that prices change. I told the woman (Yvonne) that was NOT the case and that they were baiting and switching. I told her I was, at that very moment, looking at the price of $33.24 on their website, even offered to send her a screenshot. She said no, it was $36.24. I refreshed the screen and it had miraculously jumped to $36.24. Told her I wanted my money back and she said it would take 24 hours for them to review. I said I wanted it back NOW. She put me on 'hold' and came back with a "we'll give you a $5 gift certificate" which I took but will NEVER redeem. They will never, ever get another dollar of mine.
