I own a local HVAC company in Columbia, SC. A few years ago,Herman Bulluck contacted my company and stated that he was on a large commercial job in Spartanburg, SC and had several of his Columbia based customers that needed service. He needed some help and was having issues on the job in Spartanburg and was unable to get to Columbia. We agreed to take a few calls to help him out, he was planning to come back to Columbia later in the week. He was going to come by Friday to settle up. We took care of his customers, he collected the moneyand never paid me.
I began talking to other people in the HVAC industry and this man has been stealing from companies and fromhome owners in the Columbia area for manyyears. I contacted the South Carolina Department of LLR and Herman Bulluck was not a licensed contractor, in fact, his license had expired many years ago.
Recently I was driving down Garners Ferry Road andnoticed an advertising bench. Advertising Bulluck Heating and Air (803)695-8888 "We Strive for Excellence". I contacted the SCDLLR and Bulluck Heating and Air is NOT licensed to perform HVAC work in the State of South Carolina.

This response is to bring clarity in regards to the disturbing claims that have been placed upon my business as well as myself. When this incident occurred I was very new and not highly experienced in the HVAC business industry. I was working under apprenticeship as well as taking HVAC classes, all while being in the Marine Corps Reserve. I did indeed make contact with a company to help with a few of my Columbia based clients, not several but only a few because at this time my clientele was extremely small.
While working on one of my first large commercial jobs in Spartanburg, SC, I was called by the Marine Corps Reserve to be deployed to Iraq for three years. I immediately left to serve my duties for our country. I unfortunately never finished the job in Spartanburg, SC nor was able to make contact with the company that helped with a few of my Columbia based clients.
Addressing the issue concerning being a licensed contractor, I am a licensed contractor and my license number is S-38555 to anyone it may concern. However at that particular time due to the fact of being in the service and being deployed it was quite difficult to keep up with all the responsibility and at one time my license did expire, but at that time I was not dong any major work with my business.
My business practice is absolutely under no circumstances to rip people off or steal from them and my business is in very well standing today. And as far as this person claiming to talk to several people in the community that have had the same negative experience is not at all accurate in any way because my clientele was extremely small since I was just at the very start of launching my HVAC business.
My question is, if this person was driving down Garners Ferry Road and noticed an advertising bench advertising Bulluck’s Heating and Air (803)695-8888 "We Strive for Excellence", why have they not yet contacted me to resolve the issue rather than trying to ruin my business by placing it on the internet?
I am appalled to find this report on the internet several months later about something that unintentionally happened years ago. I would like to clear up any unresolved issues and I can be contacted at 803-695-8888. My office location is 7356 Garners Ferry Road, Suite 129, Columbia, SC 29209.
