| I found these guys on ebay and made a deal with them for a car. Now it is 15 months later, they can't produce pictures of the car, they rarely respond to email, go completely dark for months at a time and finally admitted yesterday that they have not worked on my car. when they do respond to email it is always someone different and the stories never match. I am currently looking for other folks with the same issues and would like to file a class action lawsuit immediately. |

| I recently was in Fairview NC to visit Discount Classic Restoration DBA Build A Bandit Pick A Pony. Quite frankly I went there to check on the progress of a Trans Am I ordered last October. I was having concerns with some of the comments I read from this site and one called Hitman. They talk about Trans Ams and this company alot. I was quite relieved to be able to spend an extra night in Asheville and rent a UHaul and take my car home the next day. Bob, Nelson and Shawn worked around the clock to help accomplish that goal for me. So I think most of the posts on the Hitman site are quite bogus, and are going to advise others the same. And my Trans Am is hot, and I think the comments on Hitmans are not. The few that had posts that I could get to confront werent even customers, or even have visited their facilities. So beware of unfounded statements about a company that tries as hard as they did to satisfy my every request. I highly recommend them. |

| I am making an entry to this site is because I wanted to appologize to the Build a Bandit group for my negative post onthe hitman site on the time frame of my build and deposit. I was wrong by a couple of months. The other reason I wanted to comment was I didn't want anyone reading to think I wasn't trying to have my other statement about not buying from them retracted. Especially when I read the retraction from the poster on this site that posted they were a ponzi scheem. He was big enough to give his rebutal and retraction, and I am also. I will tryto remove it from the hitman site, because they can be a very informative site on Trans Ams. I have posted my positive review on several Trans Am sites. I ordered a TA from these crooks & it took them a yr and a half to finish the car. Every time I talked to Bob all I got was excuses & BS. I was very specific about how I wanted the car built & they did not follow my instructions. These guys are not Trans Am experts they actually know very little about important details.
The paint job is bad, has fingerprints in it. Spoilers don't fit properly. PS pump leaked. Transmission leaks from every seal. Rear main seal leaks.
Washers pump & windshield wipers didn't work. AC didn't work. Brakes were put on wrong that's why I say dangerous. Seats cut & frames so rusted they would not work.
Dash was split. Turn signal would not work. Wrong wheels. Windshield frame fell off. Driver door would not unlock. Radio quit working. Put chrome valve covers & air cleaner on engine.
Suspension shot. Rear diff needs to be rebuilt. Thermostat did not work.
Headlights quit working. Interior trim all different colors. Seat belts rusted. Carb had to be rebuilt.
This car was a piece of crap, I've spent 10 K on it so far & will have to spend another 5 K to get it right.
Do not buy from these people, stay away at all costs. I have not spoken with one of their customers that was happy or satisfied! I know for a fact that the FBI & police have investigated them. Bob has been arrested I believe it was for odometer tampering, you can find the record on line. |

I too send my 1978 T/A to be restore, also send a $ 10, 000.00 to Erica for the restoration, almost 13 months now and I have no car no communication from any one, today I found out that the D/A refuses to file any charges agaist this people, go figer, you and I sell something to a customer take his money and delivered nothing, the police will lock us up for frud with minutes, you take 100s of thousands of $$$ plus peoples cars you have the protection of the FBI Local Police, the D/A and every one around you, Only in AMERICA.
I hope and pray that Bob will come out of this and make good to all of us that trust him and took his word like he was a good old boy.
LETS HOPE that the D/A is compitentto realize what is going on here.
