Brighthouse Cable Won't change name on service, won't update cable modem number updated, won't come to house Birmingham, Alabama

I have been a customer of Brighthouse for 9 years. A couple of months ago I got divorced and the
service was in my ex-wifes name. I called to get the account changed over to my name and was informed that only she could get the service changed. This is the only utility out of six of them that I couldnt change myself, but fine I got my ex-wife to call. I was informed that they would send out a form to fill out and to expect that in a couple weeks. I waited three weeks and got no letter so I called again and requested the form again. A payment change form showed up this time, but that doesnt change the name on the account. I had my ex-wife call a third time and request the paperwork and nothing has shown up. Now in the meantime lightning hit my house and destroyed my cable modem, I have a backup modem so I just need to get Brighthouse to change the MAC
address in their systems. I called twice to get this number updated, both times I was told that a different person has to update the number and that will take two or three days to update. Neither time the number was updated so I have been without internet for a couple of weeks now. I finally decided to just have the old account canceled and open a new account in my name. An appointment was scheduled for a person to come and disconnect my service. Nobody showed up and nobody called to reschedule. So to summarize I have called three times to get the name changed, twice to get a MAC address updated and once to get the service disconnected with absolutely no results. I am so frustrated, Ive never dealt with a company that just blatantly ignored every request their customer gives like this. I called the regular customer service number, no excuse or anything was given as to why the tech didnt not show up, I was just requested to return the cable modem in person. I asked to speak to a supervisor, none was available at that moment and one is supposed to call
me back, however I have not been called back. I found the highest ranking local person at Brighthouse's email address and wrote them, she's out of the office. I have no idea what else to do.
