Bridge Management Sean Rosser Stole my company and left me to file bankruptcy Providence, Rhode Island |

I met Sean Rosser of Bridge Management through a business broker. In 2009 I had taken an SBA loan to fund and open a small retail store. By the end of 2011 I was completely out of cash and the business was headed towards failure. I had reached out to a business broker in an effort to sell my business for the amount of the debt I owed. This wouldn't have recuperated any of my personal losses but would have allowed me to walk away without any further obligations. After two weeks of listing the business with no potential sales leads, my broker suggest that I contact Sean Rosser of Bridge Management. Sean was supposed to be an SBA expert that could help restructure my business and strip the debt. I contacted Sean and was able to speak with him over the phone. He was well spoken, had a Harvard MBA, and even had references. He was very convincing and made it easy to trust him. His plan was to sell my business assets for a very low value to a 'holding company' that he owned. He was going to work with my SBA bank to negotiate a low purchase price, close on the sale, and then list the business again for sale - now without the SBA debt load on the balance sheet. When the business sold, we were supposed to share in the sale proceeds and he was supposed to help me settle my outstanding personal guaranty with the SBA. He did neither. He was unable to settle my personal guaranty and my wages were garnished. I ended up in bankruptcy and when the business sold, it sold for cheap. He kept all proceeds because I had not "paid his consulting fees for the debt workout".... A debt workout which was unsuccessful and caused me to file for bankruptcy. He stole my business, gave me bad consulting advice, and left me to file personal bankruptcy. My wife and I considered filing a lawsuit but after almost 16 months of this stress, our marriage could take no more and so we have decided to just move forward with our lives. Word to the wise - Do not trust Sean Rosser or Bridge Management. They will not deliver the results promised. |
