Bosch Construction Groups LLC Employment Scam Phoenix, Arizona |
14th of Jun, 2011 by User827713 |
It began with a Craig's List notice for a CAD Drafter position in Boulder City, Nevada with Bosch Construction Group. It appeared as if it was a construction company in need of a drafter. I submitted my resume and several days later received an email requesting I send my work history to Human Resources. It turned out to be an Employment Agency - which irked me, but I continued the process. The next day, yet another email requested I fill out an application (including my SSN, of course) and submit (yet again) my resume. I did so and today received an email requesting I take a "Skills Assessment Test" by clicking a link. When I did, it popped up a new window to purchase a "Study Guide" prior to taking the test. That's when I got suspicious and followed the suggestions of The Riley Guide on verifying the legitimacy of the company. The website looked great, but I could find nothing through a Google search except their website pages. I checked the domain - established last month, expires in 1 year. I also tried to Google the address - no such firm name showed up at the address. I contacted the on-site leasing agent who verified there was no such tenant. He suggested another tenant may have sublet and gave me a name and number to call. That leasing agent has no record of the company. I also called the phone number the employment agency listed on their website. I got a computer generated message with an option to speak to the receptionist. That option sent me into "hold music hell" which would state "please wait while I try to connect you" and it eventually clicked over to a request to leave a message in a "General Voicemail Box." Just for giggles I decided to try taking the Assessment Test without having purchased the Study Guide. At apporximately the half-way point the internet error "Page no longer available" popped up; an attempt to go "back" brought up the internet error "page expired." This "employment agency" claims to operate in all 50 states. Making money off the Study Guides may be the only scam they're running, but it could also be a means of getting a Credit Card number. |

BOSCH is a scam outfit. I received an e-mail from someone calling himself
Jason Daniels. He asked me to go to their website and fill out an application.
At first, everything seemed above board. A few days later Daniels contacted
me again, and informed me about AutoCAD drafting positions he was trying
to fill. He also wanted me to take a 'skills' evaluation quiz. I clicked the link
and noted there was a study guide you could purchase before taking the
exam. I have been a CAD drafter for 25 years, so there was no need for me
to buy this garbage. I took the test, knowing I had answered enough of the
questions to pass. I even Googled the correct answers before submitting
my response. A few days later I received an e-mail telling me that I failed
the test.
I knew the scam was on when I e-mailed Jason Daniels, and received
the same e-mail response from him asking me to fill out an application
and take a skills evaluation quiz. It is a shame when scum like this waste
the time of honest individuals in search of employment. Do not be fooled
by BOSCH Construction Group LLC. It's a SCAM! Good Luck to those in
search of employment! |
