In May of 2011 John Bolle of Bolle Design contracted me to make 75 Sq. Ft. of concrete countertops using his molds. The total number of countertops was seven. When I gave him my price he begged me to accept less than my normal 50% deposit, claiming he was already doing the job for less than he should have. Even though that wasn't my problem I took a 40% deposit with the balance due upom completion. As is usual with Bolle the job was a rush, not because he hadn't given himself enough time but because he stone walled his client until the last minute, having received money from his client two months before he asked me to make the countertops he needed. He then hurried me and portrayed me to his client as the one who was holding up the installation of these countertops. Mr. Bolle does not listen to you when doing business and ignored not only my advice not to handle the casting too soon as the wouls crack or break, but also my repeated statements that he understand I was to collect the balance when I was finished, not when he installed the countertops. In a rush He asked me to cast two tops first so that he could come to my shop and polish them. Despite my warnings he tried to polish the tops too soon and broke them, as concrete needs a certain amount of time to fully harden or cure. I agreed to cast another top with the others, at NO extra cost. But I told him I would contact him when they were ready. Ignoring me he called me a dozen times a day until I had to shut off my phone to get any work done. Finally having had enough I told him that he could pick up his castings on Monday, May 23rd and take them to his shop to polish them. I didn't want him bugging me anymore. The one condition was that he pay the balnce. On Sunday May 22nd John Bolle broke into my workshop and stole the cast countertops still in their molds. After filing a police report I emailed Bolle and told him I was having him arrested. He emailed me back saying he did take the casting but found my door open so thought I was inside and was there to retrieve the castings. No mention of paying me the balance. After avoiding detectives for a month, Mr. Bolle had his lawyer contact the detectives saying that he had permission to enter my workshop and take the castings and that the castings were sub-par and he would not pay for them. Without surveillence cameras I had no evidence of his breakin so the dectectives were unable to press charges since Bolle's lawyer claimed it was a business dispute. Four months later John Bolle has not acknowledged any of my requests for payment and has bragged to his client and others that he will NEVER pay me. I have begun civil action. John Bolle is a thief, a liar and an arrogant bastard who does what he wants regardless of ethics or lewgality to cover his lazy ass business practices. He does not pay attention to clients, sub-contractors or the law. If you run across him do not do business with this punka*s slime pit.
