I have been an employee for ten years at bjs wholesale club- i have watched with my eyes and listened with my ears for far too long. too many awesome people have lost their jobs to unfair practices- due to management. As a cashier you basically have to be 100% -accurate cash drawers,no over rings or under. Do not miss an item or double charge an item and not to mention all the other store policies that the rest of the employees endure-(supposably). If you violate any of these-in other words make a mistake- you MUST sign a paper stateing this and you are then violated with a WRITE-UP. If you happen to get 3 of these you receive a final- which is then turned into a termination. We count our drawer before our shift but do not count it when we are finished! This means the cash office is in total control of our money!! There was a memo from the cash office posted stateing- please count your drawer before starting your shift-as we are only human and can make mistakes... do you believe that! How can the cash office not be held accountable for their part in the wholesale company. This is not in the best interest of their employees and they know it. That is why if you are terminated they are not held responsible for your actions and you cannot get help with unemployment insurance!! Their policy book also states if they see you falling behind that they will do everything possible to help and they will offer training and support you need to be successful. They did none of this for myself. I went thru some terrible family issues on my final and nobody listened or helped! I am a ten year veteran and deserved some grattitude- not even what a great job you have done for this company..and believe me the customers are calling my residence and stopping by my house because there was an injustice to the MEMBERS are cared so much for. There are also team members that have had their write ups dismissed and that clearly breaks our policy- why didint mine get excused? Because i dont kiss butt and suck up to management- its about my service to the consumer and not stepping on the heels of others to get there! Home Office will be getting quite of few calls from my supporters and that is the people who SUPPORT the club financially! Any comments please contact me cus it doesnt stop here! thank you |
