Ederi, showed up in a rented Budget box truck. When asked why he did not have the semi, he said he couldn't get it down my street. That was alie--I lived in a townhouse development with broad, wide streets and easy access and he had never been there before tobe able to make that judgementandI had ordered a large semi. Later the excuse was that the truck was being repaired. Even later I learned from "Karin" that "we only have one truck"--, which is a lie, also. They do not have even one truck. They rent box trucks, usually Budget in Van Nuys, to avoid weigh stations andfees. They may have a dot number, but there is no truck that goes with it. The DOT number shows a perfect safety record, because they don't have a truck to wreck or drive. There is no air ride truck/semi for your precious things. Therefore, damage is maximum.

Big Sam/Peace of Mind Relocation does not belong to the BBB.Big Sam et al,belongs tothe US Movers Association that does not require BBB membership--They do NOT belong tothe American Movers Association that does require membership in BBB. There is a vast difference between the two associations. American Movers is a large organization with many employees and departments including one that works with the federal government on moving industry issues. Again, AMA members must belong to the BBB. The USMA caters to Scam movers and appears to be owned and operated by one man who ends up being thearbitrator for disputed claims adjusted by AnthemClaim Management(adjustors) in Anthem, Arizona.Asarbitrator and USA association owner, he, through self interest, sides with the scam companies that flock to him for protection from the consequenses of their ill gotten gains. He is also located in Phoenix, AZ, near Anthem. Anthem Claim Managementdoes not pay actual money for any losses to customers, they only decide what the weight of the items are that were lost or damaged and then multiply by 60 Cents on the pound.(So don't expect much for your expensive TV)The moving company is the one that actually pays--fat chance that Big Sam/Peace of Mind R/Keren Martin Sadafi willever pay anything forher theft and wilful destruction of property.(It is possible to get a different Arbitrator if you have made an out of state move. Contact the US Dept. of Transportation for the Arbitrator in your new state.)

Ederi used green stickers with numbers on themto identifyeach item loaded. These should have identified my things by color code, lot number, and sequence number. When things got busy, Ederi handed the day laborers another set of green stickers to put on the things they took to the truck. Only problem, these stickers were the same color, but had a different lot number which then set up my things to be delivered to who knows who later, because I never got them.

Before any loading began, Ederi began actually bartering for more money. Hesaid that I had a lot more things then in the quote.Also, he said it would be to my advantage to go by cubic feet instead of weight.Ederi assured me that he would weigh my load and then I could decide which would be most advantageous, weight or cubic feet. He lied.When it was time to weigh,Karin refused and said that I had signed the contract for cubicfeet. When I saidEderi had to go through weigh stations anyway,she just laughed. Even when I said that I needed the weight because of the 60 cents per pound loss rate, she refused. For a $4,080.00 total estimate quote for 1200 cuft/84000lbs, I ended up through agressive extortion paying $9,050.00.

I had bought all the moving supplies and hired my neighbor to help me pack everything except the big screen tv and the small 32 inch HD TV. Ederi packed those--"crated them"-- in all he used "9 crates." These crates were actully just boxes--which were mine--cut up and then taped to the TVs, etc.He used filthy moving blankets to wrap up my $2,400.00 white sectional couch. (I did get it back with huge, black grease marks on it.) These moving supplies and crates cost me an additional $900.00. Ederi discarded the mattress cover I had bought to put on the queen mattress when he became impatient with trying to get it on. Ederi and Karin ended up stealing the32 inchTV, Two cases of boutique wine, the legs to my antique dining room table, a mission style oak desk, a mountain bike, vacuum cleaner, antique spinning wheel, and an exercise pen for the dogs---They broke, smashed, ruined, antique dining hutch, 3 piece sectional couch, 2 expensive tourchier floor lamps, queen mattress and box springs, antique wicker Wakefield tea cart and matching wicker chair, and wicker pole lamp., clothes washer and dryer, bookcases, dining table, china, crystal, upholstered chaise lounge, two dining room chairs. It took filing a police report, reporting claims to theAnthem Claims Management and Farmer's insurance to get Karin to send a final, third load of my thingsbecause as she explained in a later email,"You(meaning me)don't understand how moving works. I don't have to let you know it was found and just let you deal with insurance and get $0.60 cents per pound per item. You keep forgetting that Big Sam is going out of business.I do not owe you any explanations. Be sure to have $150.00 cash for the driver. I am not going to read or reply to you anymore. Karen Martin Big Sam Transportation" now known as Peace of Mind Relocation. I actually had to pay them more money to steal my things.

Ederi brought the first load fromVan Nuys to KY via a Budget rent a truck--no semi.He did not bring all my things in the first load. He demanded that I pay all that remained on the bill, (I had already paid $5,400 when they loaded it) up front in cash or he would not open the doors of the truck. I called the police.Ederi tried to drive off with my things before the police got there. I sat on the ramp of the truck and refused to budge until they got there. He tried to throw me off the ramp and cursed me out. He cursed my friends out. I wouldn't budge. When the police got there Ederi, ended up at least getting the doors open to see if there was anything there--and much was missing.I was forced to pay all the remaining bill because the way the law is written, this is a civil matter and the police have no jurisdiction. So I paid all for some of my belongs and in cash. Someone elses chest of drawers and patio umbrella was in the truck. Ederi asked me, "Wouldn't you like to have these things?" I declined.He took them away, but the local BudgetRentalofficewas only a half a mile away andsomewhere inbetween, Ederi dumped the chest of drawers and umbrella. The owner of the BudgetRental office said there was nothing but fast food trash in thetruckwhen it was returned.

On the second load, brought by a subcontractor, I got someone elses' desk piece, weights, suit case of ladies size 10 dress shoes and boots and three big pieces of bevelled black glass. There has been no attempt by Karin to try tofind the owners of these things or to pick them up and they are still sitting in my basement. On the third shipment, brought by another subcontractor, I received someone elses mattress--sent it on--and aperson's majorly important financial papers including checks, social security information, tax returns, investment portfolios, cameras, etc. Luckily there was a current phone number in the papers andI called the person and it was arranged to send the boxes of papers by UPS. That person had also lost a mattess and bedding and had hired Peace of Mind Relocationto move them in Sept. 2010.

My move started July 22, 2010 and currently it is Dec. 28, 2010. I still do not haveall my things. It took five months to get my things and I slept on an air mattress for weeks.I had to buy a used table from a neighbor to have something to sit at in the dining room. When I needed it, Karen would not honor the advertized one months free storage when my lease fell throughhere and I had to put things in storage until I found a place to live or buy.When I arranged for climate controlled storage here, she suddenly could do almost as good with storage in Los Angeles areaand agreed to store my things in climate controlled facilities in Van Nuys. (She uses generic storage not climate controlledat Extra Space Storage 8540 Cedros Ave, Panorama City, space 300 818-893-8362 or 8181) Then suddenly and against my written instructionsand wishes, she had some of mythings delivered by Ederibefore Iwas settled whichmeant that the first load was delivered to a storage unit herewhere I should have sent it in the first place. The second and third loads were eventually delivered to my new house and only because my insurance company was on to her. I will never get the fourth load. With my loss resulting from THEFT, my insurance company isgoing to remakenew legs for my antique table and replace the missing items. They will not repair the recoveredbut damaged items. I am fortunate that they realize that Big Sam stole these things from me. When my Farmers insuranceinvestigator called Karen, Karen claimed she had never heard of me. I Know Keren Sadfi will never forget me, because all of you will never do business with Peace of Mind Relocation or Big Sam Transportation after reading this---although there isway more to tell about my MOVE FROM HELL!
