Please read the reviews on the internet about this child modelling agency they take your money and then do not do anything to get your child work you pay thousands of dollars and they take ALL children they should be shut down!
Complete scam, if they wanted your child they should pay you not the other way around

| I can't find reviews and would appreciate a link as my son has just joined at a cost of $570 and they tried to get me to buy "proffessional ' photos which were anything but. He had fun but photographer didn't give him any direction at all and he was having trouble doing a natural smile as he has never done this. Eventually I told him to think about something really funny and he then was able to laugh naturally. I held back on saying anything and every photo looked really bad until I intervened. Isn't a photographer meant to guide their subject if they are clearly nervous or not sure??? anyway when we went to choose best two pics, lady from agency guided us to pics which I thought were definately not the best...at that point i wondered if she had her own child of a similar age on the books cause I wondered why she would choose the two she did., Also was told to put nothing in his hair thinking maybe they will do their own thing but photographer didn't touch him or flick his hair or anything just really left it up to him. I honestly have taken FAR better pics of my son on a basic digi cam . Was also told they only ever have 40 children on their books yet above info suggests very differently and I must admit some of the kids in there for shots were not exactly model material. They absolutely raved about my son, who is very good looking and friends constantly tell me this and he wanted to give it a go, but once we agreed to terms, it was all about getting money BEFORE they would even book him in for photoshoot.. By the next morning when I paid, his appointment had already been taken and I thought this was v strange if they only ever have 40 children on their books. I'm still not sure whether they are a scam or not but didn't like the pushiness of the woman about the photos half of which were unusable..first she offered expensive package, I said no then she offered another deal and I said no then she kept pushing to pay $170 for usb thingy with photos and I said no and she didn't seem to happy. I was pretty p'd off as he wants to EARN money and I understand there are set up fees etc but mmmmm jury still out on this one! |

NO it is a con, and I think you know this by what you have said above. The photographer we had was some girl just out of high school who knew nothing and just expected a two year old to know what to do.
I don't know who told you they have only 40 people on the books, more like 4000 they take anyone it is not exclusive as if you are paying then why not.

I would straight away make a complaint to fair trading and ask for your money back
I didn't get mine back they offered me another year for free and surprise surprise in 2 years she was put forward for 5 jobs! and didn't get one. They never return your calls or emails - it is a scam
If they really wanted your child they would pay you, not the other way around, I learned the hard way to |

Complete SCAM!!! Seriously this company is a rip-off. Why would you charge 4-500 for a child to have photos and be in the books?
My experience with my daughter was that she was signed up, and had her pictures (the photographer was running late, then said she had to go to the post shop, came back mouth full of food) she was already out the door before I could argue. This should have been a red flag, yet I went with it.The pictures were terrible! Why not choose your own photographer?
My little cutie was "put forward" but never "choosen" to audition (and yes i know the client chooses not bettina, but who's to say they even put forward the names, and how many if they do!). We had about 4 of these "shes been put forward" calls in one year. YES they are legit, and I wouldn't doubt their clientele, and feel secure with my child's information, that aside it's just sad that they charge so much, and have so many children on their books. Just look at their advertising, Brisbane Kids magazine, Facebook Ad's, Parent and Child Shows!...
I also emailed 3 times and asked about the "free" acting class, which no body ever responded to me. The Bettina card is pretty slack, I mean it's called Groupon and Spreets, all those discounts can be found all over the internet, no biggie if you get 5% off coles gift cards, waste of plastic.
Not happy with this company, would seriously consider getting some of the other ladies who i chat with and emailing ACA, its just sad that they charge so much, yet in reality 95% of these kids won't get work. They actually told me well over 60% do. Well out of the 20 odd stories ive read, and ladies ive talked to, one child recieved one audition. do your Maths.
It's a rip off, and I hope they are exposed for ripping parents off. |

| I just want to say - YES YES Yes it pays to be vigilant and do research, research and more research about Child Modelling Agents, We have been through one Modelling company here is Brisbane (not naming) and they were a scam, well the people who were running this company were scammers and mind you also targeted NZ Customers and Children of their dreams... And it certainly sounded like the other comments above - not saying it is the same company, which it wasnt... But they are out there - scammers and all that happens, is that it smashes your child's dream... The photographer we had was not even a pro, just a friend of a Friend of the owners and the model coach was not even a model, Didnt even give the Children any guide lines or anything to work on, I could have done better... - the children could have worked on something better them selfs... I have now worked out it is better to get word of mouth than researching on the net for Agencies, So do some research on your local models and make contact with them and ask them questions on how they went about doing what they are doing and ask them for advice on what or how they went with to get started and getting work. They will not mind telling you if they are legit as they will find it very motivating and inspiring to know that they have help a younger child do what they love doing best, and that younger children, do look up to their modelling life style. We have and now have moved on to doing bigger and better things than paying agencies big dollars... Try Freelancing it just a little more work on the parents behalf, but if Modelling is what your child wants well then you should not need to worry about the work load. Hopes this helps someone out.. Dont be fooled by these sorts of people. And if you feel that you have come across some sort of scam agent just talk to other people- members within the agency and see what their reports are and always talk with the O.F.T about it. And certainly if you have paid money and haven't got things in return. Always ask Photographers no matter who for Character Reference - Enjoy and hope this is helpful.. Lots of promises and nothing delivered.
We were promised periodical reviews and no feedback has ever been received.
Do NOT waste your money, time and effort. This is a scam.
If you Google Bettina Management, one of the first topics listed will be 'Bettina Management complaints'.
That speaks for itself. We should have trusted our gut instincts and not wasted our time.

| Yes please dont waste your time. I didnt even get updates with the jobs my kid had been put forward for. They absolutely just took my money and then i magically didnt exist anymore. They called me telling me after i put our child in an online comp that he was so cute and would def get work. HA. They prey on our belief that our children are gorgeous because they know we want to believe it. I wish i had listened to the reviews. Bettina is a joke. I wish i had gone with a smaller boutique agency like bubblegum as they also accepted him. Oh well my foray into child modelling cost me about 500$ and i got some poor photos for my trouble. |

Seriously our child was featured allover the Media, TV and Print and they did nothing. Rude expensive and unhelpful.

I have no doubt Bettina does find some kids work, however as a parent of a child that was keen to give modelling a go, I found the whole experience pretty disappointing to say the least. Mainly the lack of interest from Bettina once they signed my daughter up and received her joining fee.
If you are thinking of signing up to Bettina, I would suggest you think again if your child is over the age of about 8. From what I can see, most of the work Bettina gets appears to be for babies or smaller children. They will still sign your older child up, but the work does seem to be minimal for the amount of children on the books. I'm not saying it won't work for you, but be prepared to receive no work, and don't expect any feedback from the agency throughout your contract.
Not only did my daughter get no work in 12 months, we never had one phone call showing the agency were working for us, or even any information of when she was put forward for any work. That was left up to us (not good enough in my opinion). My daughter has since contacted other agencies, as she is now old enough to join as a teenager. She has been contacted and asked to put in applications at no cost to herself (sounds more respectable to me).
I believe, if an agency is going to make money out of your child, they should sign them up at no cost. If they will not sign them at no cost, you probably won't get work. We learnt the hard way and paid.

I came to see Susan Henner late last year because I was out of status and was the victim of a white female smuggling ring that kidnapped me and forced me to come from the former Yugoslavia to France and then to New York where I have been forced to work in sex clubs and provide blowjobs and fellatio and sex to fat, dirty, rich white men from New York. I came to this Susan Henner to ask for help as I was in a sex slavery situation. Instead of helping me, this evil women stared at my breasts the whole time I was in her office during our first meeting, and asked me very rude and offensive sexual questions the whole time. She kept loking at my body and making me feel uncomfortable until finally she asked me to give her ten thousand U.S. dollars. I told her I could not afford this and she made rude comments hinting that we could `work out a payment plan' while winking at me the whole time. I never felt so disgusting in my life. I felt like I was being raped all over again. This woman is a disgrace and a discredit to all immigration lawyers and she should lose her license to practice law immediately. I do not know why such a disgusting person like this is allowed to practice in law. Even in Albania she would lose her license. But I hear she is so connected (her sister Janet Henner is the Chief Immigration Lawyers Association) so she never gets in trouble. I know theres other womens who also have been molested by her. Please avoid this `lawyer' at all costs. Thank you for listening to my story. |
